I have stayed out of the political speak until now...."New Hope"???? OH PLEEEAAAAASE!!.....

Where do you think Barack came from???? I worked for the US Senate for 8 years and there is one thing I learned quickly......

...NO ONE moves from State Senator in Illinois to US Senator from Illinois to Presidential candidate in that short a time!!! The only way one makes a keynote speech at the Democratic National Convention is to be hand picked by the old white men drinking scotch and smoking stogies in the back room at the DNC....

He was plucked from obscurity by the Ted Kennedys of this country and made the front man for the same old party lines. If the two of them had sat any closer together at the State of the Union, they would have been on each other's lap!

There is no "hope" in him nor is there "CHANGE!!"....You do not survive in DC let alone have your name on the Presidential ballots unless you play the game......and if you think he is any different, you've got a great deal to learn about how DC functions.
Chill out, MB

I'll put whatever I feel is appropriate in my sig line.

oh, and I also put in my 2 cents about this year's football season... is that OK with you??

I remember Jimmy Carter coming to town with his posse of (mostly) rank amateurs. Foreign policy went to hell (as if it could dive any lower), the economy took a dump, and nobody in the world had respect for the Administration or the Rule of Law.

I'm not in love with McCain, but I see the same thing happening if Obama gains the White House.

But those same arguments would generally be considered to be faults of the current administration, as well. And when he took office, one of his big selling points was the experienced leadership team he had assembled.

RENO, Nevada (AP) -- So much for hugging in church.

A day after Barack Obama and John McCain exchanged an embrace during a faith forum at a California megachurch, Obama called the U.S. economy a disaster thanks to "John McCain's president, George W. Bush," and chided his Republican rival's campaign for trying to make him look unpatriotic and weak.
Seems to me, Obama has made himself look more unpatriotic with that remark than any McCain could make. I don't care for some of Bush's decisions, just as I didn't care for Clinton's lying under oath. But, at all times, they have been my President, because I am an American. The more I learn about Obama, the more I think....

did he burn a flag while he was saying it? p*** on a veteran's grave? Just because they have been your president, you are an American, and last I checked ( don't vilify me cause I'm idealistic ) being an American did not mean lock step with either party. McCain had been running several campaign commercials in this area lately, and they aren't all about how great McCain is, if you know what I mean. It's politics, baby!! Now pass the popcorn.

I was going to vote for the candidate who didn't run any negative campaign commercials. Well that didn't take long to bust. I guess I too will be voting for a third party, since this two party thing is bogus.

Barack Obama is an empty suit. The only difference between him and the empty suit currently residing in the White House is Obama speaks better.

We live in John Doolittle's district and it's up for grab since Doolittle had to resign becasue of his business dealings with one Jack Abramhoff   So the REP, Tom McClintock, just like Hillary carpet bagged his way from SO CAL and said he now lives in the area. The DEM, Charlie Brown and I'm not making up the name, is running campaign adds running AGAINST Nancy Pelosi's Washington machine. Like Mark Twain said, We have the best goyt money can buy.

CA voted on and passed a law that said we as citizens want the choice for, "none of the above," to be an option on the ballot. IF none of the above won the popular vote, there would be another election. The measure was struck down as un-constitutional.

I don't let it bother me too much and I am looking for a third party to emerge someday too.
