Democrats don't know (or care) which way up the flag should go? Maybe the Democratic Party is in league with the Devil? Surely the 'swift-boaters' of the Republican Party can do better than this.

99% of the public political process in this country takes place in the shallow end of the pool - unfortunately.

I think the reason for this is that most folks in this country don't attempt anything more than a dog paddle when it comes to thinking about important issues.
We agree completely here.

I don't take such a dim light here. Our country goes through cycles, there have been very good times and very bad times. We still pull through. Despite the "problems" in our country and the world today, I don't think you can point to an era where the citizens of the US had life so good as a whole.

Pretty damn sad, isn't it?

My mom thinks him/Hillary makes a good ticket (she really is smarter than that). I told here that'd be great in breaking the record for a president/vice president assassination.

As much as I want any politician to cut spending, if anybody other than a white male ever gets elected, they have my blessing to spend as much as they want on Secret Service protection. Like Wayne said, a lot of yahoos.... :(

Have to say, I thought Joe Biden was the best man for the #1 job, but would absolutely be the best for the VP. Hands down.

Maybe it is nothing, and I am sure that the Democrats know how to fly to the flag. But I was thinking it was more of an attack on the current administration. Flying the flag upside down is a sign of distress, that the vessel, fort, base whatever is in imminent danger of being destroyed or overrun. Perhaps it was intentional with the message being that the Dems, and Obama in particular, can come to the rescue. Complete garbage in my book. But it would be clever. Or am I reading too much into it.

I really think your giving the DNC too much credit here :)

I was always taught to never underestimate an opponent. But the same threat lies in overestimating them too. Oh well.
