Making Obama look Unpatriotic

RENO, Nevada (AP) -- So much for hugging in church.

A day after Barack Obama and John McCain exchanged an embrace during a faith forum at a California megachurch, Obama called the U.S. economy a disaster thanks to "John McCain's president, George W. Bush," and chided his Republican rival's campaign for trying to make him look unpatriotic and weak.
Seems to me, Obama has made himself look more unpatriotic with that remark than any McCain could make. I don't care for some of Bush's decisions, just as I didn't care for Clinton's lying under oath. But, at all times, they have been my President, because I am an American. The more I learn about Obama, the more I think....

The main reason I supported Bush 4 years ago was the Democrats were running on the anyone but Bush theme. Kerry had no ideas, stood for nothing, he was just not Bush. I am very distressed that the best the Republicans can do this time is McCain and that McCain supporters are reusing the Kerry plan.

So do tell, which of McCains policies or positions make him a better candidate than Obama? Or is there a third party candidate that deserves some attention?

If you're the type who's into wrapping yourself up in the flag, and "let's go shoot our supper",
you could always turn to this character...

Was this on the news and does it really bother you or did you just discover the "NoBama" catch phrase and need to reason to post it?

I read this on CNN, and the statement really does bother me. Here's the link if you care to check
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/08/17/ ... index.html
I'm not enamored by McCain, by any means. But the more I read about Obama the person, the more nervous about him I get.

To answer Skibo's question, I like McCain's policy on Iraq better than Obama's. Regardless of how we got here, here we are, and setting a exit date will do nothing but get the insurgents to wait us out, and then defeat an Iraqi army that isn't ready to defend itself. Then we'll end up with another Iran.
When everyone but Bush was saying 'the Surge" was the wrong thing to do, McCain stood up against popular opinion and supported it, and in the end was right.

I am far from an Obama supporter, but the Obama hates america line really doesn't sway any voters. Attack him for his tax policy, his social welfare programs or even his lack of experience, but the name calling and the attacks on his religion and associations are silly. I will be voting for a third party this year.

Hates political crap, here..

But I don't understand why anyone who is running for President would allow the American flag to be portrayed upside down on the DNC credentials.

Why would someone running for president pose with Bin Laden at a Buffett concert?

"Let's Barack 'n Roll, baby!! America will welcome a New Hope, 1.20.09"

I have stayed out of the political speak until now...."New Hope"???? OH PLEEEAAAAASE!!.....

Where do you think Barack came from???? I worked for the US Senate for 8 years and there is one thing I learned quickly......

...NO ONE moves from State Senator in Illinois to US Senator from Illinois to Presidential candidate in that short a time!!! The only way one makes a keynote speech at the Democratic National Convention is to be hand picked by the old white men drinking scotch and smoking stogies in the back room at the DNC....

He was plucked from obscurity by the Ted Kennedys of this country and made the front man for the same old party lines. If the two of them had sat any closer together at the State of the Union, they would have been on each other's lap!

There is no "hope" in him nor is there "CHANGE!!"....You do not survive in DC let alone have your name on the Presidential ballots unless you play the game......and if you think he is any different, you've got a great deal to learn about how DC functions.
