Looking for Parrotheads who got caught in Ticketmaster Online ticket mess. Seems they sent out Preferred Parking Passes for the Tweeter Center shows in Sept., instead of actual admission tickets. Now they are contacting people to tell them the tickets are bad, but since the shows are sell outs, they can't issue replacements, only refunds. So the customer is SOL unless you go to a scalper. Beware though, the scalpers probably got burned too. Some of the nastier ones may try to unload their bad tickets on unsuspecting people, who won't find out until they actually get to the gates, that their tickets are no good. I have contacted some local media outlets about this story and have recieved some response, but they need to see that this is a wide scale mess before they get too serious persuing the matter. If you got caught in this or know someone who has, contact me at: meinke7@home.com, or just post a message here. The media people are checking the major Buffett message boards.

call a lawyer instead, yeah we all hate 'em. but a nasty threatening letter may actually produce some tickets.

That's the next step, I have a sister who works for the U.S.Attorney's office. I was going to give Ticketmaster a chance to play nice before hitting with the big stick.

I was raised to admit my mistakes and then to make amends for them, not say sorry but screw you.

Do you know what the term "Do your job right" means? TM sells tickets and only sells tickets. If they can't sell tickets right, then why should we have to accept their screw ups? Hit 'em hard if you can!

This is a special one to smart ass annon.IF that last one was to me,first it is small "g".I sign my posts for a reason. If you have something intelligent to say, address me by my name.It is so easy to do the cowardly thing by tossing a remark out and not having the guts to sign it.Grow up and learn how to use this board!
Next, yes I have made many mistakes and I will make many more.It is a responsibility of anyone to rectify all errors made when they are made. The point I was trying to make that just went right past you,was if you only have one job to do and you screw it up so bad you can't offer a solution,it seems that you can't do your job.If you had bought tickets through TM and gave them your credit card # wrong, how hard would they try to contact you to get it right? Not very.
If you were to sell me something that you had already marked up the cost of and then told me "Hey what you just bought is not what you wanted and,by the way,you have no chance of getting what you originally wanted now, here's your money back.Sorry."will not cut it where I come from.
I will say it again for you...Do your job and do it right. If you can't do that, you must make it right any way possible. Then admit you can not do your job.

I'll let you in on a secret, pal. There is a feature called the white pages on the internet. You already have my home town,my email addy and now some dangerous info...But I am not worried, you do not even know how to sign in at a simple little discussion board,so I expect you will get good and lost on your way out of here. Here's a hint for ya Chachi-use the little x in the top right corner.Get a name so we can talk Man to Man.I feel I am giving you way too much credit with that, but I will try.
Breathlessly waiting.....jasonmason

You know what if you really wanted the $ don't you think you'd just give me the address. I apologize if I haven't used your stalking features on the internet before, my achaic means of finding peoples address and phone #'s have worked every time for me. I think it's about time to end you pity party, Mr. Whiner.

Go ahead and make your childish point with the whole $ thing.

Get a grip, my friend, there's way more to life.

Sport, let me tell you something. All this crap boils down to one thing.Fans bought a product, the supplier gave a wrong product, the fans can now go park at a show they can't get in to see.The reparation offered? OOOPS! Now Hoss,in the real world that has not been converted to the whinny "don't hurt my feelings"section,if you screw up,you fix it.TM has offered to put the paying fans right back where they started.Actually they are behind where they started. Now the ONLY way to get a ticket these poor folks have is to buy from a scalper. The point I have tried to make to you is that if you can not do the job you are supposed to do,then do not waste my time and money.I have a job.If I do not do my job right,I am held legally responsible. That is more incentive than I need to do what I say I am going to do.Why do you think TM shouldn't be responsible for their screw up?
I would like to think that you would have the intelligence to be mad if you were sold something that was totally useless and then told all you get is your money back and a pat on the ass as you leave.
Did these people WANT only parking passes or do you think that they also wanted to see a show?I kinda have a feeling they wanted to see the show.In your world, they are SOL.In my world they are mad and want it made right.
In most places, there are 2 ways to get tickets,TM & scalpers. You expect one of them to rip you off. When they both do,what can the fan do?I say they should take the legal entity to task for the screw up.
Now as for the stalking comment. That service is offered to anyone one on the internet.I have used it to find numerous people, from old school friends that I thought I would never see again to letting distant family members know there has been family troubles.Which of those is stalking? Is it wrong to use a phone book? Same thing "friend".
