So upset to hear this news. I saw DMB on June 28 in Virginia and that might've been one of his last shows. I'm so disappointed to learn he's passed away. LeRoi-your musical talent will be greatly missed.

So sad. I feel like I was punched in the stomach. I just cannot believe it.
He was responsible for most of the DMB sound that we have all become accustomed to.
As I have written in earlier posts on this site, I am a big Grateful Dead fan. I feel as bad as I did on August 9, 1995, when I was standing on a softball field warming up for a beer league game and my friend walked over and told me about Jerry Garcia passing that day. I just broke down.
The Dave Matthews Band filled a hole for me when the Grateful Dead and Phish ceased to exist as touring bands. LeRoi was one of my favorite musicians. A real talent.
The surviving members of DMB put it best with this statement on their website:
"It's always easier to leave, than to be left."
I may borrow that quote.
Sail on LeRoi.

I love you more than words can tell

to rock my soul"...Robert Hunter

I can't imagine how hard it was to play through that show last night. It had to be emotional.
listening to some DMB today in his memory. Sail on LeRoi.
