My opinion of Tiki Barber just dropped to zero, and I used to like him....

I wouldn't have minded if he dropped an f-bomb, but the c word is right up there with the n word, for me. About as derogatory as you can get..... :-?

You do know it was just a slip of the tongue, right?

I haven't seen the clip yet, so I'll take your word for it. And if it was just a slip, no harm. If it sounds like it was on purpose, I'll be really disappointed...

I still can't figure out how you go from running back to working with the NBC news division. I've seen him a couple of times and the lack of experience shows. Was that a slip up or was he giving her a little dig because she thought he had a Super Bowl ring?

i don't think it is a slip. he looks right at her after what seems to be some slightly heated word exchange and it sounds to me like he says "you're a total medal c*nt". Jenna Wolfe has done sports news for a while so what she says about Tiki and the Super Bowl ring isn't a mistake by her, she is busting on him and i think Tiki ended up losing his composure and took a low shot at her.

Wow, it does sound like it was on purpose. I'll watch when I get home....

So we agree to disagree, I don't see it that way at all and I have no reason to defend Tiki. For the most part he has always been a class act and this doesn't seem like him. I'm sticking with slip-up.

I've always liked Tiki Barber.
I don't know if I STILL do or not.

That's definately one word I'd NEVER use in public.
Or in private, for that matter.
One word that's totally inappropriate and uncalled for.

Shame on you, Barber! :x

In light of the varying opinions from those who have seen the clip, I'm going to hold off on a final opinion myself until I've seen it. I hope it was a slip.....

Just an FYI...the first part of that video has nothing to do with the second (I saw the first part in real time). I find it interesting that the second part is from someone filming their TV set, did no one else pick that up? Combine that with the poor sound quality and I think the power of suggestion takes over. Did he say that word? Perhaps...but I'd be inclined to go with a slip up or even some sneaky editing. I've watched Tiki and Jenna....the antagonism is part of their schtick. Tiki's smart enough to know the reprecussions of doing something like that on purpose.

i don't see how you can say that. i know the video is separate, that is obvious, but it helps to establish the kind of banter and digs that have been going back and forth between the two. (wow...i think i just sounded like some kinda lawyer or somethin :o )

Hmmm, your own post said "he looked right at her after some slightly heated word exchange.." which would lead those who didn't see it to believe those two things happened in succession, but that previous clip wasn't even from the same day. :-? The banter and digs that you refer to mainly stem from Jenna, she's like that in every story/interview/bit she does and I find it highly unprofessional. I could certainly see it being a freudian slip on Tiki's part, but deliberate? Sorry, I'm not convinced.

I can't say I've never used the c word cause I have. And when I've used it I was pi$$ed off beyond belief.

I'll have to see it later from home but I can't really fault him as I'm not a perfect person by far.
Well...(said in my best Bubba voice) I've been on sabbatical.
