Baadbobby and Mrs Baadbobby will be there. Staying that night at the Towneplace Suites Marriott, very close to the State Theater. Checking out at noon, headed to Nissan Pavilion.

Here's some more info;aealderm wrote:We'll have four there. Provided we get in from football weekend Gainesville with enough time to get there! Staying in at the Holiday Inn Battlefield both nights.
Which leads me to this question:
State Theatre site says 6 p.m. Mac's site says 8:30 p.m. Any idea which is correct?
Sunday August 31
Doors: 6 PM
Showtime 8 PM
Tickets: $21
The State Theatre has a full service in-house restaurant for those patrons at the dining tables. Tables may be reserved, while they last, by calling the business office (703 237-0300) 12 Noon to 5 PM weekdays. Reservations are accepted until 5 PM the day before the show at a fee of $10 per 2-person table and $20 per 4-person table. Tables are held until 45 minutes after the doors open. There is a $10 per person food minimum (does not include drinks) at the dining tables.
For those patrons in standing room or in the balcony seats, food is generally available at the main lobby bar.
There are four full service bars in the building - two in the main room and one each in the main and balcony lobbies.
We'll see you there!

We're going also. There is a good tropic style resturant right across the street.......Clare and Don's Beach Shack.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

ooooo ... Thanks Al, I figured it was a doors/show thing. That gives us much more time to get there in time! (If it was 6 p.m. our plan was to leave Gainesville on a 7 a.m. Sunday flight - which considering we're starting our football tailgate at 8 a.m. Saturday, a 5 a.m. wakeup would have been ... painful! We always go too hard the first Saturday of the season

Nothing official. I just called the State Theater and all the tables that could be reserved have been. But they only do that for 1/2 the tables. The other 1/2 are on a first come fitst serve basis. Doors open at 6.Tropic_Al wrote:Went there last year. Is the WAPHC doing a gathering there before the show?Carolinadreamin' wrote:We're going also. How does tickets work here. Does GA mean you can get stand right in front of the stage.
Is it an open floor or if you get a table at the start you can stay there for the whole show.
Where do you watch if you don't have a table
