I already ordered my tshirts!!!

It's kind of a joke that has gone horribly awry over the last six years. this link will help:

It's what happens when a thread gets completely hijacked.

You know, I gave this some thought yesterday - I am very excited about going to GW again, but because of the economy I've been so tied up with my job, making sure my pipeline doesn't fall apart, trying to get new business in a bad Real Estate environment etc, that I truly haven't had time to really think about going. Expense wasn't the issue, I don't live that far away and I set aside some of my travel and cell phone reimbursement in a separate tailgate account, but just the increased day to day stress has kept me from posting any WHOO HOO! messages or, as I said, really thinking about it. In fact I think this year, more than any other, I'm MORE excited about suspending reality for a day and an evening with my new PH friends and Jimmy!

" and I mean MANY of them. Whoever is not excited for Great Woods stay home. No one will miss you. I can' t even begin to describe how excited I am. I have posted this in year's past . . . the fact that Buffettnews New England representation dies down in the summer is because here are out living the Jimmy Buffett Parrot Head lifestyle. It is just that simple. Me? I am rocking this weekend at the Chicken Box and then I got me an afternoon Red Sox game on wednesday and then Great Woods to unofficially end my summer thursday - saturday and I got to tell you that life is good and the buzz around my little island is huge because the people are a phlocking . . . I might just drive to Great Woods before the Sox game and do me a shot . . .
"No one will miss you."

Actually sir, you are a sad testament to the fact that you can't so much as say anything even tangentially negative on this forum about Jimmy without some putz attacking you.
He is not a putz...that is a rude statement.

Jones Beach was awesome!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D Maybe you weren't hanging with the fun crowd!! :D :D :D :D
I wholly agree...calling someone a putz IS a rude statement...and so is the statement that I was responding to..."No one will miss you," which was nasty, mean-spirited and TOTALLY unprovoked.

In short, if you can't take it, don't dish it out.

When I read Jon's "no one will miss you" post I took it as a general comment about what seems to be a lack of enthusiasm about Great Woods this year. It didn't quote anyone else, it didn't name anyone else, it was just a general comment. However, the more I think about it the more I'm more inclined to think it's a statement of fact. Oh well.
