I think it is a good choice even if Mr. Irishcajun did say Sarah Palin was a looker. It got my female hackles up a bit this morning. :D

Hilary draw

I think that if she comes across with some intelligence that she can pull a lot of the middle of the road Hillary people over to the Rep' ticket. She definitely throws an interesting twist into things.

sometimes it comes down to the lesser of two evils.

I think it is great a black man is running and there is a woman for VP....

As for Obama - he lost my respect during the whole Pledge of Alligance (sp) when he did not place his hand to his chest...Believe what you want in the god you want, but show respect to our nation and flag.

Not to mention a few that he is associated with and like all the other politicians out there just blowing smoke around.

There is no such thing. The people to whom Hillary appeals will not vote for the values Palin upholds.

McCain could have won the Hillary voters if he picked a VP who supported gay and abortion rights. There was some credibility to the recent commercial about the woman voting for a republican for the first time.

There's no way he'll get those votes now unless Palin suddenly decides she's a rug munching abortionist.

and while mike huckabee makes the perfect straight man for steven colbert, the last thing i want is a president that actually believes the earth is 6000 years old because the bible says so...

After reviewing some of her credentials, I'm kinda digging her. She will appeal to the anti-establishment crowd that hates the incumbents. She was a fighter in Alaska and dumped a lot of pork projects. Ok I was digging her after looking at her photo. It would be interesting if McCain won and was then declared mentally incompetent early on and she became president.

I still think there is a group of women that would have voted for Hillary because she is a woman, and will now vote this ticket because of Palin. In every election there is a group that doesn't feel either side truly represents their view and therefore they vote on some other criteria, those that voted for Carter because of his smile for instance. Don't get me wrong, a switch like you mentioned would pull a lot more over.

except he would have lost 25% of the republican party vote, lost close to 90% of the mega money donors to the party, and have had a convention fight on his hands... not the best way to win an election.

That photo was taken during the National Anthem... not the Pledge of Allegiance. This moment has been confirmed by the major agencies.

What would REALLY be fantastic is if she and Hillary are their party's nominees in 2012.

Hillary does have experience, is a GREAT speaker, and, like her or not, doesn't mince words and doesn't care WHO she p*sses off. I'm NOT a Hillary supporter by any means, but I REALLY like that in a person, no matter WHO they are.
I don't know much about Sarah, but, considering she defeated an incumbent REPUBLICAN governor in Alaska, she's getting her message through to SOMEBODY.

Hang on, kids, the fun is just beginning. 8)

Oh come on - If Reagan wasn't declared incompetent, McCain will sail through his presidency. I mean, didn't Reagan try to appoint a geranium to the Supreme Court?
