There is no such thing. The people to whom Hillary appeals will not vote for the values Palin upholds.

McCain could have won the Hillary voters if he picked a VP who supported gay and abortion rights. There was some credibility to the recent commercial about the woman voting for a republican for the first time.

There's no way he'll get those votes now unless Palin suddenly decides she's a rug munching abortionist.

The gay community really wasn't into the Clintons.

But the Clintons were into the gay community.

McCain/Palin most definitely aren't.

As are the vast majority of American's. Not say right or wrong, just facts

except he would have lost 25% of the republican party vote, lost close to 90% of the mega money donors to the party, and have had a convention fight on his hands... not the best way to win an election.

but it's not like the republican party would have any other viable options to keep obama out, so by not voting mccain, they are essentially voting obama.

what would be worse for the party, 4 years for mccain (because there's no way he would be able to run again) or 8 for obama?

Two years ago, she ousted the state's Republican incumbent governor, Frank Murkowski in the primary, despite having little money and little establishment backing.

She has also distanced herself from two senior Republican office-holders, sen. Ted Stevens and Rep. Don young. Both men are under federal corruption investigations.

She had earned stripes — and enmity — after Murkowski made her head of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission. From that post, she exposed ethical violations by the state GOP chairman, also a fellow commissioner.

Don't forget she also tried to get the State Public Safety Commissioner fired because he wouldn't fire an ex-brother in law of hers who was a state cop.

And Barack is the answer? Cut taxes, but increase spending to give free education to military. Decrease dependency on foreign oil but no domestic drilling. Sounds great but doesn't add up

Just a personal thing here, I'm very much in favor of fiscal responsibility which is unfortunately not something the "Ds" are well known for. I just happen to put more weight on pro-choice and gay rights than a balanced budget. Maybe it's a chick thing (or just a me thing), but the human side of issues is more appealing than the fiscal.
