The Providence country radio station announced the change this morning so hopefully the local media outlets have been given news releases.
Me too on the email... but with a tropical storm coming, don't you think most people would verify if the show is still on?? (I've never been in a hurricane or tropical storm before, but I would.)
Some people won't even realize there's a storm coming....
Some of us don't have a television so we can't watch the weather channel girl.

Well, I really do wish you all the best! :D For the show, and at home.

Roll with the punches
Play all of your hunches
Make the best of whatever comes your way
What you lack in ambition
Make it up with intuition
Plowing straight ahead, come what may!

Maybe, but I'm sure they want to get out of there, back to their hotel and off the road before it gets really ugly, so maybe not....

And if Jimmy's in Boston we're all gonna miss the show.

They could start this show at 1 PM and have no tailgating allowed and I'd still go. I like tailgating but it's all about Jimmy.

It's unfortunate that so many people who aren't fans attend Jimmy's shows but you see the samething with other venues that include tailgating such as football games and I hear NASCAR. I mean seriously, nearly half a million people show up for a race, there can't be that many people who are into watching cars make left turns all day over the course of several days. We all know most Americans have ADD and can't pay attention to anything for more than 5 minutes. It's got to be about the multiday tailgate parties. :pirate:

So, let's see.... I'm thinking the guy at the middle mic tomorrow afternoon might be just a tad more worried about his home and business interests in south Florida than about the start/finish time of the GW show....... Oh, and his home on Long Island, too, since TS Hanna is supposed to blow through there on Saturday night. I wouldn't have blamed him for canceling outright.....

10 years (or quite possibly less) from now when Bubba has called it quits touring-wise, we'll all be longing for a show in the driving wind/rain. Lighten up all you bitchin' folks, the rest of the members on this board have it right - make the best of the situation, be happy for what you've got. Or better yet, don't buy tix next year so the rest of us have a better chance at landing them...

How will Hanna affect me...................

I'm still going to see Jimmy!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

I may not have much tailgating time if any  may not get to meet any BN'ers (new ones or previously met ones)

But.............My group is making the best of it and we're still getting to see Jimmy :)

Hey...... not many people can say they've seen him during a hurricane. Some already have and a few more of us will :)

Life is good.......... we're still on this side of the ground.

Phinpower that everyones families and homes and property remain safe. :)

In case YOU hadn't noticed, this is not the case for a very large number of people.

8 people in an RV means there can be 7 people paryting from 11:30 on. The person driving shouldn't be drinking in the parking lot anyway. 2 1/2 hours is not enough time to sober up for the drive home (ESPECIALLY with 7 other person's lives in their hands). Me, I wouldn't mind the 3:00 start time, that way I can see exactly which one of you 66 percenters is urinating on my blanket.
I agree with St.S most are there for the lot party. We got tickets last night for $10.00...no lie, I could have gotten free ones if I waited by the door. And we left after intermission and there were a large amount of people leaving with us, I was surprised at that. Take a poll next time your in the lot. Ask if there was not tailgating would you come. More than 66% would say no.
My club is going in at 8am, I just cant see sitting in the lot all morning...ugh.

Honestly, then, I wish all those 66% would just go off and tailgate in a random parking lot. We'd have one incredible, intimate concert for the rest of us......

I said in another thread. It would be cool to see him up there with swim goggles and a rain suit on....
