Who's Going to Mohegan Sun - 11/08/08

Post by tryin' to reason »

OK, so we're not sure of an exact date.
That doesn't mean we can't get this party started.

If you - like many - think November 8th will be the date, then you'd better get going on a room (unless you can afford - or are comped - one at MS), as they're filling up fast around the area. Not sure if it's just because it's a Fall weekend or lot's of PH's are locking in a room early, just in case.

Regardless of the date, I'm sure many BNer's will be there, so no time like the present to begin the dialogue.

Maybe.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Right on, CGB. I'm sure we can entertain ourselves at Margaritaville and then be high-rollers on the penny slots! :D

i'm going to say it's later then the 8th

1. Tour ends at the End of Oct
2. Some band members are playing at MOTM
3. I just think they will take some time off after MOTM....Unless Jimmy is doing a Solo show at Margaritaville
4. I think it would of been announced by now if it was a arena show...less then 2 months for ticket sales!!....but the 8th is open so far!!
5. I don't think he would do a Sat. there...i think it would be one of the slower casino nights to draw people in to spend.

Hopefully i'm wrong...but that's my take!!

#4. I don't think ticket sales are an issue, since most of the tickets are comped to high rollers. That's why the printed price on the ticket is so high - so they'll think they're getting a $250 perc from the casino.

That big tent next to the tailgate last year was the VIP tent. There were lots of people in there, but it sure wasn't a Buffett crowd !!
(However, the free rita's were tasty!!)

I will do everything to be there. We had to miss GW on Sat b/c our 14 week old keet had a bad flu. The only positive was Ticketmaster refunded us b/c of the time change. Our crew that did go said it was an awesome show.

That's what the local papers here in SE CT are saying as well. Originally it was Sept 29, but now I'm hearing Oct.

Just said on RM that it was opening the 29th of September and that Miles would be broadcasting from there.

Rooms are all booked up for November 8th! But hopefully that's because the New Kids on The Block are coming to play at MS and not Jimmy. We are still hoping he shows on the 29th of this month. If not the opening should still be fun!

Hey so heard from a reliable person this weekend that Jimmy is NOT playing Mohegan at all this year. He had a 3 year contract and did that.
Maybe he will show at that opening party but I would doubt it, but you never know.
