I've travelled to ball parks and stadiums all over this country, often wearing my Baltimore Oriole's colors or Washington Redskins colors. After initial hazing, I've found that I often end up making friends with the locals once we discover our mutual distaste for the N.Y. Yankees.

I believe Condoleeza Rice may have used this as her strategy to open diplomatic channels with Libya during her visit last week. "The United States", as Ms. Rice says, "has no permanent enemies." However she an Libyan leaders bonded once they both agreed on mutual dislike for the N.Y. Yankees and the Steinbrenners.
