If anyone could get Jimmy Buffett to play for them.
If he ask you to make that set list for your own show.
What songs would you put on it?

Rather than have him play for me I'd rather be able to sit down over a bottle of wine and some good food and just talk to him about his travels and thoughts on certain subjects. To me that would be way more special than any song he could perform for me.

I would substitute Here We Are for Rainy Day Woman and Jolly Mon for Glory Days and Grapfruit Juicy Fruit for Making Music for Monay, and Jamaica Mistaka for Weather With You LOL otherwise...I like it! :pirate: Honestly, if I could sit down with JB I would just love to talk to him about the sea!

What songs would you like to be on that set list?
I used to tell people that when I got married, he was going to play my wedding...I got married-he did not play, life moved on.

I'd not be greedy just a few songs if he played my wedding...

Love and Luck-song we first danced to
Far Side of the World-song that was playing when I proposed
Margaritaville
Fins

Like I said, I'd just want a quick set. I am a simple guy

All covers....any reason for that?

None of those are covers. They are all Buffett originals, it's just that a bunch of other artists stole them before Jimmy had a chance to write them.

Well if we are going to take that approach:

1. I Am Woman (Helen Reddy cover)
2. Ice Ice Baby (Vanilla Ice cover)
3. Kung Fu Fighting (Carl Douglas cover)
4. Muskrat Love (Captain and Tenille cover)
5. My Ding-A-Ling (Chuck Berry cover)

etc.
and so forth
and so on
(add your own to this list)

I LOVE sarcasm! It's fun!
My sarcastic set list would be--
1. Thriller (Michael Jackson cover)
2. Stayin Alive (Bee Gees cover)
3. Ice Ice Baby (V I Cover)
4. Baby Got Back
5. Low Rider
6. Sweet Child O Mine
7. Time after Time (Lauper Cover)
8. Drop it Like It's Hot (Snoop Cover)
9. Like A Virgin
10. Don't Worry Be Happy (Which honestly would probably be a good one)

ENCORE
1. Because I Got High
2. Sweet HOme ALabama (Honestly another good one--hey I'm FROM Bama)

There is only one song that I would put on that list.

"Good Vibrations" and ideally with Brian Wilson.

I have said this many times before I would love to see a Bubba show end with "Good Vibrations"...it just makes so much sense.
