I'm totally shocked right now. I didn't even know that he was battling cancer.

One of the few bands around in my time that I wanted to see but never did. Sail on Richard.
Take me for what I am, a star newly emerging.

:o Shine on...

Pink Floyd has to be one of my all time favorite concert memories.
Texas Stadium with rain coming through the hole in the roof & lightning overhead to compliment the light show from the stage (we had covered seats)...it was spectacular.
Some people never find it, some only pretend
But me, I just want to live happily ever after every now and then.

Shine on you crazy diamond.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Life is short, live long!!

Hmm...Insert "Great Gig in the Sky" joke here.

Sorry to hear that he died. Liked his music a lot.

"Us and Them"

His vocals were so mesmerizing.

You have had your pudding, and we were glad to have enjoyed it with you.

OMG...I was there, too....what a great show !! it was a family outing, we took our two teenagers with us...we were living in Oklahoma at the time...

bought tickets from KMOD/Tulsa, included a bus to Dallas...about 4 busses full of fans.

Shine and sail on, Richard . . .

Pink Floyd's music, and especially concerts, have always been transforming . . .

Shine on Richard.

I was able to catch Floyd once. It was a rainy day that luckily the rain stopped, but luckily the low clouds/fog did not. Made the light/laser show that night that much better.

Wow this is a shock. I also had no idea he was sick. With all the Floyd reunion talk over the last couple of years you'd think that this would have come up at some point recently.

He was most recently on tour with David Gilmour during his "On an Island" solo tour.

He always seemed to be the silent and steady member of the group. Always got the impression he was a good guy.

Bummer.
