Orlando Margaritaville - need a ticket to Universal?
We're going to Disney the second weekend in Nov and we're planning a stop one evening at Jimmy's dive and I'm thinking that a ticket to Universal won't be required for dining, but I just want to make sure...
So, is it?
THANKS!

And in the evening, parking at the Universal lots and garages is free (at least the last time we went).

YUP!!! after 6 or 7pm. If you check John Frinzi's website you may be able to catch him out on the Porch of Indicision...he plays during the week usually from 5-9pm! Zman would be able to tell you the exact time free parking starts.

I recommend a drink at the Lone Palm Bar outside of the restaurant where you can sit under the actual Hemisphere Dancer. Then if its open head upstairs in the restaurant to the 12 Volt Bar! Bob Marley's is cool and Pat O'Briens too!

Is this something like the Universal City Walk in LA? Will be in Mouse-ando in February, but haven't been to Universal in 7-8 years and then only for a closed-park private event evening. (All I remember being there was a Hard Rock outside the park gates.) The LA City Walk includes stores, cinemas, eateries, etc. but only bars have been mentioned here, is this similar?

Sounds similar...there's a movie theater, stores, and a bunch of restaurants/bars (Emeril's, M'Ville, Bob Marley's, Pat O'Briens, and others).Missing B'dos wrote:Is this something like the Universal City Walk in LA? If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Pat O's is nice for dinner too after some starter drinks at MVille. Best thing bout Pat O's is that it looks and feels just like Nawlins' without the urine smell.
Only reason I throw that out there is because if you get there later in the afternoon the line is usually long for dinner. But of course you can always get a drink and stretch out in the adirondack chairs while you wait.
Yes, free parking at night. Otherwise no one would go to the movies there.

Ah yes, and I see youre a Simpsons fan. I did the new Simpsons ride at Universal a few weeks ago, if youre a fan youve got to do it. Just sad it took them so long to get rid of the Back to the Future ride and get this in.
Spend the extra cash and get the express passes...trust me on this one!
