I have over 29,000 posts on BN and married a moderator. I've never been connected enough to score backstage passes.

I worked for a company that handled a good deal of his details...one person became good friends with someone in the band and has not gotten them!

Though he has been in Jimmy's company!

I get them all of the time, but I don't use them because that's boring to me.

jimmy doesn't do backstage passes.

there's a pre-show hospitality party, but that ends with the start of the show and it's off to your seats.

You do realize that the quote in your signature, while used, and only slightly paraphrased, by Roy 'Tin Cup' Mcavoy, was actually made by Jimmy DeMaret. Sorry if this seems a bit anal to point out...it's an annoying habit I can't get rid of

Buy a Bud dealership.. a BIG one...

I have never been backstage at a Buffett show..
but I have to a few other shows , really not as cool as it
would have been when I was.... 18
the artists are worried about the setlist, their kids, the crowd, the party after, the interviews they are going to give,(the girl/boy in their dressingroom),ETC..
:) you have almost none of their attention
and maybe less..

but let us know if you find a way!!!!! 8) 8) 8)
and how you feel!!!

As much as I'd like to meet JB, I wouldn't want it to be backstage.
My Husband met Jimmy once, sure wish I'd been there....someday I will. 8)

No it is properly quoted.......Tommy IS quoting Roy "tin Cup" Mcavoy....NOT Jimmy DeMaret.......The fact that Jimmmy may have said it first is not the point, Tommy is quoting The charcter Roy Mcavoy (And the movie...and the attitude...) Not Jimmy DeMaret.........    :D :D :D

Back stage meet and greet aren't what they're cracked up to be.. stand in line, shake hands, take a picture and you're out the door..i have been to a few when i worked backstage at jones beach in the 80's... the only person who talked to anybody was Billy Joel.. he spent about 5 minutes with each person.. 8)

That's all I'd need. If I could get a photo, an autograph and have enough time to say thanks, I'd be 1000% satisfied.
