Flavoring Moonshine

I recently "aquired" a little White Lightnin' and wondered if anyone knows how to flavor it. I had some Apple Pie Shine in Bristol and it was incredible. I've been told I can add flavoring to plain. Anybody know how?

Best I've ever had was Lemon. Just take a lemon, slice it in 1/4" slices and put the slices in the jar for about a month. Fantastic.
I have a case of stuff at home that was done with peaches (2 whole peaches in each quart jar). Also very, very good.
I've also had strawberry (8 strawberries/quart), grape, blackberry, and blueberry.
If you're not into fruit flavoring, a handful of the wood chips used for smoking meats really make for good sippin' shine.
One thing to remember - the finished product is only as good as the shine you started out with. If it's nasty in the clear, no amount of flavoring is gonna make it good.

It will be weaker than shine, because it is diluted, but I had this one in Knoxville...
INGREDIENTS
1 gallon apple juice
1 gallon apple cider
3 cups white sugar
8 cinnamon sticks
1 bottle of moonshine
DIRECTIONS
In a large pot, combine apple juice, apple cider, sugar and cinnamon sticks. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat and let cool completely.
When juice mixture is cool, Stir in the moonshine.

Personally, I just slice up peaches or strawberries and let them soak for at least a few weeks if not months.

Another thing - and y'all hardcore Southerners may wanna hang me for this - after the flavoring is done, I keep my shine in the freezer. IMO - nothing better than a smooth shine sipped ICE cold.
