Just seeing if any body is going to see Willie Nelson at Radio City Music hall on 9/25. I have never seen him in concert before, he's just one of those artists I would at least like to see once, it should be fun. Has anyone been to his concerts before?

I've seen Willie twice. They were both great shows.

Don't expect a lot of talking or "show". He gets up there and then sings song after song after song.

I see him every year. Same show, more or less, every time. Good time for sure. Whiskey River opener. He does all kinds of stuff you want to hear. Me & Bobby McGee, City of New Orleans, Hey Good Looking, On the Road Again, Poncho and Lefty. His band is great, his kid plays a mean blues guitar. I love it….

Have fun. Wish I was going with you…

I heard on the radio that he is coming to Raleigh too. I hope that is the case. :D

I didn't post in this thread because we've been kind of busy at work and I didn't think I'd be able to do more than get on the elevator, go downstairs and walk across the street to Radio City right at showltime. And that's pretty much what happened, I got to my seat at just about 8:00.

Jakob Dylan & The Gold Mountain Rebels opened the show. I only remember Jakob from when he was in The Wallflowers and other than One Headlight I didn't know any of their songs. I thought he was pretty good last night though. Too bad he's starting to look like his father as he gets older. :o

Willie and his band put on a good show, I especially liked Mickey Raphael on the harmonica. A woman came out and joined Willlie for a couple of songs and at first I didn't recognize her. Then she started singing, it was Norah Jones. She cut her hair since I saw her in concert last year. After she left the stage Willie said "some nights are better than others."

It was a wonderful show last night. First time seeing Willie Nelson and he is certainly a treasure. It was very special being able to see Willie live, he sounded great.

Did he throw his hat into the audience like a Frisbee? Then other people throw hats on stage and he puts them on and then throws them as well? That’s so cool when he does that.

No hats into the crowd but when he took his hat off he put on a bandanna. A little later he took it off and threw it into the crowd. He put another bandanna on, then threw that one into the crowd too.

That's what he did when I saw him too.

I've seen him several times. One show was a little different. It was right before the REGGAE album was released.

Going to see him at the end of October down at South Padre.
Wooo hooooo!

I always enjoyed seeing his sister, Bobbie on piano.
