After watching the debate (?) , I think McCain kept his word, he didn't show up.

But for my money, the debates are pretty much a waste of my time, they don't actually get to debate anything. If they really want to debate, sit down at a table FACING each other and LOOKING at each other and DEBATE the issues!! They never answer the questions directly in last nites format.

I'm really surprised by the reaction to the debate by the people at my office. They're very conservative and they did not like McCain's attitude ... they said he was rude when he smirked and wouldn't loook at Obama ... I'm from the rough and tumble school of politics where zingers flew and punches were given and taken ... the people at my office were talking about how they did not like the way McCain treated Obama.

I thought McCain got in some good licks and Obama missed some opportunities ... and was really surprised at the polls that showed Obama won.

Tracking polls that were done entirely after the McCain political stunt when he "suspended" his campaign are showing an even greater uptick towards Obama.

Gallup has Obama up +8, and Rasmussen has him up +6. These numbers come from interviews done in the evenings on 9/25, 9/26, and 9/27.
