Please help me help others
I am involved with a non-profit organization that has a few programs to help folks.
This Sunday I am walking in a walk to raise funds for the Farmers Against Hunger program. This program collects fresh fruits and vegetables from over 50 donor farms (in season) and some wholesalers (year round) and we distribute the produce to needy people in areas like Trenton and Camden, NJ (the poorest city in the nation).
I realize this is not a emotional as some other causes you may be asked to donate to, but if you could see the faces of the people that wait in line for distribution, all year long, rain, shine or snow, you would feel the warmth that I feel.
Many of our clients are the working poor, the elderly and single mothers trying to make ends meet. One little boy asked me what it was that I was handing him. It was corn on the cob. He had never had fresh corn on the cob, a simple pleasure that I think many of us take for granted.
Last year, we distributed over 1,500,000 pounds of fresh produce and I would appreciate if you could donate just a little something to help keep our trucks on the road.
My donation page is here:

Thank you for your consideration.

Damn Firefox, just installed it and having some trouble sometimes. I usually use Safari, but when I click on a link, it opens in Firefox.popcornjack wrote:Ummmm...Joe, just so you know, now you're logged in as your wife.![]()
BTW, I fixed the "Saturday" to Sunday. Thanks for the heads up.
And, I REALLY thank you for your donation. I owe you some ribs at the next tailgate. (Hmmm, maybe I should use that as a promotion.)

Glad to hear that Joe. Congrats.blackjack wrote:Thanks to all my Parrothead Phriends! We had a decent showing at the walk today despite getting soaked to the bone,
I did about 6 miles of wooded trails in varying stages of drizzle, rain and downpour but everyone seemed to have a good time.
Thank you for all of your support!
