SEE, this is probably the ONLY thing I don't like about B.N., and that is, many of my better posts end up at the BOTTOM of a page, and the masses miss out on the joy of getting to read them. My apologies to you for that.
Trust me on this. Bottom of the page or not, your posts are difficult to miss. My comrades and I already have a rather large file on you. Once we have gained control of the central government, you will be among the first to enjoy the hospitality of one of our re-education camps.

But I share your frustration. In my case, some of my best material never makes it past the DEL key.

(Nothing wrong with ladies who LOOK like ladies). 8)
But what won me over with Ms. Coulter was her statement a couple days after 9/11/01 when she said "We should invade THEIR countries, kill THEIR leaders, and convert them to Christianity."
GIVE 'EM HELL, ANNIE, BABY! :D
You do realize of course that Ann was originally the 'fourth' Dixie Chick? I feel that the time has come for me to share with you something else that I have kept secret until now. Ann is actually 'one of us' and was put in position to discredit the Conservative movement by pretending to be an absolutely rabid right wing nutbar sociopath. I think we can agree that she has done her job well.

Ask your comrades if I'll get my free red t-shirt with a painting of a yellow hammer & sickel. (After all, I'll want to fit in with the masses).

Trust me, if the moderators ever read half the stuff I deleted, I would've been banned from here EONS ago.
I've got to give myself some points on that one-at least I know what NOT to post here. Vent & delete. Works every time.
I can only imagine some of the posts directed toward me which were deleted. Then I go take a shower.
You do realize of course that Ann was originally the 'fourth' Dixie Chick?
And my aunt Agnes was the fifth.
Thank God for the two sisters in that group.
I feel that the time has come for me to share with you something else that I have kept secret until now. Ann is actually 'one of us'
One of my top 10 things to do before I die is for Ann and I to "be one."
Someday, someday.

I'd rather be a conservative nut job than a liberal with no nuts and no job.

Why??? I keep hearing people say things like this, bt they never explain why. What is it about this woman that makes people shake in their boots?? I don't like Obama, but he doesn't "scare" me. I'm concerned at the direction the country may take under his leadership, but I'm not "scared". Please, explain what it is exactly that has people hiding under the bed??

BUT ANYONE WHO COMPARES A UNITED STATES SENTATOR TO ANY TERRORIST, ESPECIALLY, BIN LADEN, SHOULD BE BANNED FOR A MONTH. THERE NEEDS TO BE SOME CONSEQUENCE FOR THAT: OBAMA BIN LADEN OR WHATEVER IT WAS.

Seriously, you just made yourself look ignorant.

She was put in place to appease the far far right, Christian fundamentalist voters. Thats enough to make me cringe. Her principles and beliefs could not be further from anything I believe. On top of which, McCain is old and his health history spotty, we could actually end up with her in the White House. She can't even be trusted to answer reporters questions without looking silly and ill equipped - she'd be eaten alive on the world stage. Our world image is already shaky enough, we don't need a cute cheerleader for the right handling the red phone. She's probably a fine person but I know lots of nice people who shouldn't be running the country. If she were VP for someone younger and healthier I probably would have just laughed it off, but the odds aren't stacked in McCains favor.

I can argue most of those points, but that doesn't answer the question. You agreed with the statement "...scared the estrogen out of me". What you responded with was a reasonably worded, if somewhat vague, statement that you disagree with her. What is it that she's done that causes so much fear??

her interview with Couric involved some serious questions and Palin pretty much blew her off...

she does not seem to realize that her creditability is on the line every second.

when asked to name one of McCain's accomplishments in 26 years her answer was flippant and outright ignorant (for a VP candidate, IMO)

as a lifetime registered Democrat and admitted bleeding heart Liberal, (well, at one time) I'm by no means an Obama/Biden fan...

I've witnessed a sitting President shot down, a probable President shot down after a triumphant victory in California, so the VP slot can be very important.

McCains age really doesn't worry me, not as much as the worry that Obama might not finish out his term. There is always another Oswald and Sirhan Sirhan out there.

McCains age really doesn't

Just for disclosure - those two quotes were flipped. :D
I was not the one asking why - Staredge was.

I wrote a way too long dissertation and deleted it - but your points help sum up SOME of what I'm thinking. Additionally I don't want a Christian Fundamentalist who thinks the Iraq war is a "mission from God" anywhere near the White House. I have no problem with someone having strong religious beliefs but leave them out of your policy when you are running the country. Do I think Obama is the saviour? Of course not, our problems are too far reaching and complicated. But as I've said, I cannot vote for anyone who even hints at more of the same. Eight is enough!

And I share the concern that some white supremecist will make it past the Secret Service somehow. I would not have chosen Biden had it been me and it made me a little less enthusiastic about Obama. However, I at least feel he'd be COMPETENT should it come to that. Palin would be chewed up and spit out and worse yet I believe laughed at by the world community. If she can't handle an interview with an American journalist (even the right friendly folks at FOX) how on earth would she handle foreign policy?
I'd think that alone would be scary enough.

Ut-Oh...my apologies...way to early for me to be quoting, like that...

I'm no fan of Couric, but she was very diplomatic with Palin, she handled Palin's apparent lack of knowledge regarding her running mate with eloquence, I don't think some reporters would have afforded her.

1-Would this be the quote taken out of context, where she was paraphrasing Abraham Lincoln??? Just as a rule, unless we're fighting Buddhists, BOTH sides see their cause as a "mission from God."

2-She's been Governor of Alaska. Exactly where has she tried to force her religious views on anyone??? (and no, the book-banning has been shown to be nonsense so it doesn't count)

3-Have you been paying attention?? The Republicans originally didn't want McCain because he bucks the party TOO MUCH!!!!! Now it's "90% of Bush". I can almost guarantee you that a McCain presidency will not be a re-run of Bush. (Might be worse in some ways  )

I want to see the 90%. What were they? If I agree that the Autobahn, the Volkswagen, and the U-Boat are good things, but I'm against the whole Jewish Extermination thing, does that mean I agree with Hitler 75% of the time??? (No, Godwin's Law doesn't apply here....I didn't compare anyone directly to Hitler)

I missed the interview, but I find that hard to believe. Couric had a tendency to sneer whenever she had to interview ANYONE to the right of her. I though it was just me, but I've had a couple of other people I know point it out to me. (long before this)

I could be wrong.
