then ... I go to work next day - go to coffee shop near work to get my "jenny chocolate " (yes bill the owner has my own signature drink ) and he has HOT CROSS buns on sale!! Now these are an aussie tradition .. for EASTER
I'm totally with you on this one, Jenny.....
We went to Sears yesterday so hubby could have a tool wank.....
they were moving out the patio furniture and summer things and putting up CHRIS.......I can't even say it,
HORRIBLE.

and here I thought this would be someone asking when the 2009 dates were coming out..........but while on the subject, do you think he'll play GW on Labor Day this year?
That's why I don't have the Christmas spirit anymore. I'm not a religious person, never have been, but we don't celebrate Christmas so retailers can sell a lot of $h!t that most of us don't need.

I got issues
Yep, I was in the store last week, and they had all of the "holiday on the 25th" stuff out....... it is not even October 1st yet!!!!
We were at Lowes on Saturday, and they had their Christmas merchandise out in full force!
something is just wrong about selling live palm trees outside in your garden center and fake Christmas trees inside your store at the same time!
Especially when it is sunny and 84 degrees out!

I'm on board with waiting until proper seasons. My wife put out some Halloween stuff last week. I threw it all away. Halloween season starts Oct 1. Yeah, I got yelled at, but I didn't have to sleep on the couch.
Us three WISE MEN (J.C., Jimmy, & Me) don't need to be reminded that our birthday is rapidly approaching.
(One of us will be 2008, one of us will be 62, and one of us will be 57-match the correct age with the correct "wise man," and you'll win an all-expenses paid trip to Telopia).

Christmas is my favorite time of year. I decided a long time ago that I could let the bastards get me down, or I could just learn to ignore it until I am ready for Christmas to begin.

Feel the same.. I just wish my mother could stop buying people gifts..
I wrote a "letter to the editor" in our local newspaper a couple of years ago complaining/lamenting how people start putting up Christmas decorations the day after Halloween. My gripe wasn't with commercial or retail stores, it was with people who put Santa up and LIGHT it Nov. 1.
Keep the seasons in the season was all I was writing about. had a total stranger look up my phone number and call me to call me a scrooge
Anytime after thanksgiving is fine with me.
