Exactly how many times do you plan to leave here? Damn, it seems every 2 weeks you post a "woe is me, somebody wasn't nice to me, I'm leaving" thread.
I used to have a friend who, without fail, would call once a month to tell me she was gonna kill herself. Eventually, I got fed up, said "ok", and hung up. She never called back, and she never did kill herself. All for attention...

I know you miss my calls but I lost your phone number

He said he had a "friend". You know he made that story up.

Exactly my first thought when reading this thread. I know a lot of ya'll and I trust you and love you and want to call you "George".
Seriously, I think of this place as a bunch of friends, forgetting there may be some weirdos who read our forum posts.

World is made up of many different people - all differences - maybe it is time people on here learnt to recognise those differences.
You know Jenny, I saw what you ORIGINALLY posted and then changed.

I'm going to be honest - it's not always about you. I didn't see it as being about you. You made it about you and then changed your mind just now. Quite frankly it looks like a game to me. I've tried to be your friend through all your "issues" but there's something to be said of the bible passage that says "The Lord helps those that help themselves". What you have been doing of late is really not helping YOU.
Well said Connie.

Why wouldn't a person do that among friends, whether of the online or IRL variety?
I agree. I think the thread title and tone has been a negative one, as if it was raised to provoke finger-pointing.
It somehow equates the self-confessional nature of this place as "ratting" on yourself. What's up with that?
$#@&...only Vegas again?? Padres ...gotta start believin'!Bring on '14 Spring Training!
Thing is about posting anything here, you have to consider my Dad's most excellent advice: "Never do or say [or post] anything you wouldn't want to see on the front page of tomorrow's newspaper." If you post it, it's in the public domain. If you don't want it there, perhaps it belongs in a PM or an email.
And if something IS posted, I don't see it as ratting one's self out. That person has decided that he/she is okay with that part of their life being public. *shrug* No biggie.
I'm sometimes surprised by the things people post but then people have very different ideas about what they consider private and what they don't mind sharing.

I have two dogs, one (Skibo) will eat anything spicy, jalapenos, hot wings but he hates black olives. The other (Kykuit) doesn't fancy the spicy stuff but loves black olives. Of course they both love watermelon and cantaloupe.

I used to have a dog that loved any kind of fruit

Skibo - often wondered ..... any connection to CMU?
I did go there. I do use Skibo as my id at a lot of sites, because it's my dogs name. To show what a psycho-industrialist I am. I name my dogs after the homes of successful industrialists. Skibo is the winter home of Andrew Carnegie and Kykuit the summer home of John Rockefeller. My next dog will be named Clayton after the home of Henry Clay Frick.

I use a very similar method to name my pooches, but I name them after my former residences. My 3 current pups are named "Parents' Basement", "Refrigerator Box", and "Abandoned Van".

I went there too ..... for a little over a year (1969-70). Dropped out in my sophomore year.
I just remember that the dining hall/student center was named Skibo. And the fact that that's about all I remember probably explains why I dropped out.
