More Chinese poisoning

Last year it was lead in toys this year it's melamine in milk. There hasn't been any mention of the milk products making it to America yet but they are scattered throughout Asia. You know...maybe we could compete with the Chinese if our business were allowed to poison the environment, the consumer and run without enforcement of govt regulation.

I believe Cadbury chocolate has a recall due to China's milk problem.

Remember the Chinese Flip flops that burned the feet? How many times do we need to get burned by this country before we start shopping elsewhere?

Personally I try as hard as I can not to buy ANYTHING from China until they get they $hit in order. I would rather buy from India, Pakistan or South America before China. Well maybe not Pakistan :)

You could make a shirt that says, "It's safe to lick me, I'm only 1/4 Chinese and lead-free"

I think it would suit you well.

As long as you have that posse of hot women with you, you're in no danger of being boycotted.

Actually, I have never owned an iPod. The only chinese product I am aware of that is in our house is a cell phone provided by my employer. It takes a lot of work to avoid one country. I make that effort.

Buffettbride, that's a brilliant idea! I really think I should get a shirt that says that! I might consider changing it up a smidgen to make it more vulgur though. LIPH, if I ever get into legal trouble with my alleged "posse of hot women", can I hire you?

So far it only applies to products made in, and for, the Asian market.

According to the statement from Cadbury (in PDF) it only affects products exported to Taiwan, Hong Kong & Australia.
