understood. was just mentioning that they have gotten away from the festival seating. I am fairly lucky in that they go places I have needed to go in the past few years. Tho, with MSP a fortress hub for NWA (at least for a while longer), they aren't going up north anytime soon.LIPH wrote:I haven't flown SW in the last 2 years. They only fly out of Islip in this area, that's 40 miles from where I live and it's $12.50/day to park the car. I can take the train to JFK with my monthly LIRR ticket then $5 each way for the AirTrain. SW would have to be a lot cheaper for it to be worthwhile and lately they haven't been that much lower than other carriers.RinglingRingling wrote:that has changed of late. They still board a-group, b-group, and c-group, but now when you register online, you are given a number within the group. It does work, and isn't any worse than Delta's Zones 1-7LIPH wrote:I've never had a problem with Southwest, I just don't like their "festival seating" policy.

I don't really prefer them & Islip is only 35 min form me -though they did change their seating a little they added the business fare which they get the first numbers -I just don't like their seating waysRinglingRingling wrote:understood. was just mentioning that they have gotten away from the festival seating.
