Let's see - he's not registered to vote and owes Ohio back taxes
Looks like McCain vetted Joe The Plumber about as well as they vetted Sarah Palin

Joe (Samuel) and his brother Robert live in Holland Oh, which is a suburb of Toledo, not Cincinnati. Since they are from my TV viewing area, this is all that has been on the news this week.

Yep! It came out that the only time he talked with the owner about buying the business was during his job interview 4 years ago. So, he wasn't even actively pursuing a purchase when he asked the question. He claims he didn't know he owed taxes or had a lien on his property..........ummmmm right.

Jeez, we now know more about Joe the plumber than the terrorists who attacked us in 2001.

WHAT a f'ing country.
God bless the "fair and UN-balanced" media.

It appears that this is becoming the thread for most all election talk(which is fine). In the interest of BN peace & harmony, we've already changed the thread title once. Can we do it again, and just call it Election '08 discussion or something like that?

I didn't even like that it was changed from the original title.

Besides, won't it be poetic justice if McCain pulls off a miracle and wins?

Then the 'Pubbies can rub it in real good.

That would probably be more appropriate than "Who the hell puts lipstick on a pitbull?"

It would take MORE than a miracle for McCain to win at this point, and even if it DID happen, I'd never "rub it in," but I would sit back and listen to the socialist nut jobs p*ss & moan while they all have menstral cycles for the next 4 years. The women too.

Yup...
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/co ... 03614.html

But the emergence of Joe has allowed the state of Ohio to locate the man it says owes nearly $1,200 in back taxes. His motives for confronting Sen. Barack Obama at a campaign stop in his neighborhood earlier this week are the subject of intense Internet speculation. The city of Toledo is preparing a letter to his employer seeking to determine whether he is violating city codes, and the plumbers union is on his tail.

...

Wurzelbacher also acknowledged to reporters that he did not have a plumber's license but said he did not need one to do residential work with the two-man Newell Heating and Plumbing Co., which does have a license.

David Golis, a manager in Toledo's office of building inspections, said that is incorrect. "We were just discussing that we will send a letter to the owner of Newell reminding him" of the city's requirement that all who do plumbing work be licensed or in apprentice or journeyman programs, Golis said.
