Okay, not that's NOT funny.
It's from a wound he received fighting for his country.
I know you know that, Matt-come on. You're a much better person than that.
Gary there's alot of anger in there. Let God sort 'em out I say.
Yes, let God sort them out, but I have to tell you, I'm not angry.
I'm sort of having fun watching certain people have melt downs. It's pretty sad when people base their entire happiness on whether some dweeb wins a political election.
But I'll be armed & ready for the next four years. It'll be fun contributing to their melt down.

I have about six or seven of them and probably a dozen Rush Limbaugh ties.
I've gotten lots of compliments on both-but when I do, I just don't say who designed them.
I wore one of my Jerry Garcia ties recently when I went to a crime scene photography class at our academy. The instructor kept looking at me with the most mis-trusting eyes as if I were a relative about to ask him to loan me some money.

He took the campaign plane. Not a smart move. He should have flown commerical ... for real.
I can't imagine that the Secret Service would allow any presidential nominee to fly commercial.

No disrespect intended I just have no idea what the left hand only comment meant. I'm ambidextrous why wouldn't others be unless of course they were literally without a left hand like Bob Dole. Not slighting Senator Dole in the least just the only person I could think of.

And thanks for thinking I'm a much better person . . . my charade is working!

The "left hand" comment was in reference to the losers that will hold that "magazine" up with their LEFT hand while doing something else with their right.
Senator Dole truly has better things to do with his life (and HAS done some better things in his life) than be bothered by anything Sh*t-head Flynt puts out.
Did you know Senator Dole was presented with the presidential medal of freedom (the highest award given to a civilian) by President Clinton just before the start of his second term?

And it's no charade, Matt.
You're a good person. And I'm a DAMN good judge of character, if I do say so myself.

That's a poor excuse for taking a 200 seat airliner to Hawaii instead of buying seats on a scheduled flight.

It's not that he needs extra seats, it's a matter of security. McCain does the same. A sad commentary on security concerns but a serious concern nonetheless.

It has nothing to do with security. It has everything to do with consistency.

He preaches energy conservation on one hand and then uses a 757 as though it were a private jet. That's not consistent behavior and it's not very environmentally friendly.

Yes, of course it is inconsistent with energy conservation, but I don't think a nominee would really disagree with the Secret Service when it comes to safety. And if he did insist on commercial, it probably would involve kicking a bunch of folks with tickets off the flight, and no candidate would do that.

I would argue for McCain doing the same thing because I really don't think the decision is the candidate's to make.

They could have worked something out ... US Marshalls fly on those planes, too. It could have been worked out.

Or, he could have used his own money and chartered a private plane ... it's done all the time.

Obama's plane is a leased 757 customized with far fewer seats than a typical commercial model... so in effect, it already is a charter.
Since he is not using taxpayer-funded federal campaign contributions to fund his campaign,
as McCain/Palin chose to do, Obama is flying around at the expense of his own campaign donors only... not you and me.

You think that they're gonna kick about him visiting his gravely ill grandmother??
Would you deem this to be a frivolous expenditure?

... because unless you've sent in cash donations to Obama '08... the rest of us don't actually get a say in the matter!

McCain/Palin is funded by you and me, the taxpayers, so the earlier issues of extravagant wardrobe DO have
a good deal more relevance, huh?

LB: I have an issue with him using the campaign plane to fly to Hawaii. I would have preferred that he fly commerical or get a smaller charter, but no one asked me ... It's just my opinion ... and my number's not on anyone's cell phone ... :D

BTW: I have contributed to Obama's campaign.

I also have an issue with Palin's trousseau.

Dear Moderators,

Why do you allow this to continue? What good do you think can come out of this now? What redeemable conversation or point of view is left? This is NOT about any intelligent exchange of ideas of views. This is NOT about people looking ideas and dialog. Suggesting a gov should pose in a p*** magazine? Ridiculing a WWII vet, senator and statesman? There’s absolutely NO RESPECT here. This is disgraceful!!

mjeischen,

WTF? No disrespect? Are you kidding?

YES!!! i just read this on cnn.com, i cant wait to see where this goes. hopefully by nov.4th she wont be able to get a job as small town mayor....
I disagree. Sarah Palin is not going away. It will be interesting to see where she goes after this!

In response to what others are saying, I might add, this has been one of the most interesting campaigns in history (IMHO), so that is why I keep coming back to this thread to read. I was leaning toward McCain until he picked Palin, and I'm disappointed that she proved less qualified than I first thought! I was hoping to be proven wrong.
"Her lack of fundamental understanding of some key issues was dramatic," said another McCain source with direct knowledge of the process to prepare Palin after she was picked. The source said it was probably the "hardest" to get her "up to speed than any candidate in history."
With the presidential race in its final days and polls suggesting that McCain's chances of pulling out a win are growing slim, Palin may be looking after her own future.

"She's no longer playing for 2008; she's playing 2012," Democratic pollster Peter Hart said. "And the difficulty is, when she went on 'Saturday Night Live,' she became a reinforcement of her caricature.
Hey, it's Saturday Night! What's Tina gonna do tonight??? [smilie=battingeyes.gif]
I think this say also says a LOT about Palin:
"She is a diva. She takes no advice from anyone," said this McCain adviser. "She does not have any relationships of trust with any of us, her family or anyone else
Of course there are some that overlook her lack of qualifications, lies, and abuse of power and will vote for her because they think she's pretty face.

the RNC is funded entirely by taxpayer money? they have no other funds? is that what you're saying?

Nooo, they have private donations, or do you know for a fact that the shopping spree was funded with taxpayer monies?

Hey, LB you should be out hustling support for Prop. No. 2 and not worrying about who bought Palin's Victoria's Secret undies.

No doubt I will be thanking you every day, if that happens to occur.

The question becomes, who will you and the majority of the population be thanking or cursing 3 years from now? :o

As for you and Hustler magazine, well there is a lot free p*** on the internet. Your money for now to do as you will.

Tell you what, let's cut out the middleman and the goverment. Just send me all of your money and I will ration out to you what I think you should have and be able to keep. I promise to allow you rhum and beer rations. And maybe allow a Buffett concert or two to be considered medical exspences to save your sanity.

Lets see the goverment, under either Obama or McCain, do that for you and your money. :pirate:

BTW, does anyone know what Sarah Palin's favorite handgun and rifle calibers are? Let alone the makes and models? Which does she prefer?

I find that much more interesting than talking about what some political party paid to have her "dressed" and those clothes will be sold for or donated to charity(ites). Notice there is no mention of what both parties pay for the men, or even what was paid for Hillary, to be "dressed".
Any wonder or is that just a oneway street for potential female Republican VPs? Do we actually vote for a VP or just the primary Candidate? :pirate:
