November issue has a nice article about the renaissance of the ukulele, including parts of interview with Jake.
His always self-deprecating humor:

the best thing about playing the uke: "When you're doing shows, the audience has such low expectations, you have nowhere to go but up."

on the uke's place in Hawaiian music: "I don't know," he says, "I really just like the plinky sound it makes."
