Lucky Old Sun got a great review from the Chicago Tribune this morning. I was pleasantly suprised. My wife is a big fan of his, I might have to pick it up for her

What I've heard always seemed kinda light, pleasant and harmless.
Think I will pick this one up if you say it leans a little more to the islands.
Thanx!
GET "Songs from an old blue chair"
It is awesome! I can wait to get my copy of this one ....I ordered it and it should be here today or tomorrow

Picked up this morning and if you like "Songs from the Old Blue Chair" you are going to love this cd....hell I am loving it....
I really enjoy his writing.....
I have become a big fan of Kenny the last two years.
My wife and I went east last year in our tour bus to catch both Buffett shows at Gillette in Boston and caught Kenny for the first time in Hartford.
He is quite a performer, his music is very catchy and the tailgate, well, it was like a Jimmy show ten years ago. For guys, worth going just to see the extremely attractive girls in their 20's with short skirts, and boots all day in the tailgate. Fortunately my wife looks the part.
Another good album is his Kenny Live CD. Great songs. He does write many, and you can tell his songs. Different from Jimmy, but some real good story songs that will become classics. He also buys his songs, and some are just awesome, as long as you like country to some degree.
He is not the next Jimmy, but I for one will be going to multiple shows of his as Jimmy winds down.
I picked it up yesterday too. I like most of it. I was glad to get the live versions of Boston, Got a Little Crazy, Soul of a Sailor and Guitars and Tiki Bars.
I had heard that the last two had been recorded at the Hogs Breath. the package says recorded at Margaritaville.
My biggest fear is that when I die, my wife will sell all my Buffett stuff for what I said I paid for it!
Got this link to Videos off the "enhanced" edition.
A Video for one of the new songs "Everybody Wants to Go To Heaven" is there, along with a lot of older videos.
(You just gotta watch a commercial every couple of videos )
Some people never find it, some only pretend
But me, I just want to live happily ever after every now and then.

First time I heard "The life" I got goosebumps and it brought tears to my eye....amazing song, amazing CD....I highly recommend it.
He also does a duet with Mac, and has some great things to say about him as a songwriter in the liner notes.

Glad you enjoyed them!
FYI, in the same week, he played both at Hog's Breath and Margaritaville in Key Wesy. Fun stuff.
Off to see Jimmy tomorrow in San Diego, we will be blasting both Kenny and Jimmy outside the bus all day. Hope no one throws any rocks my way!

Cool!
Siince I am taking a vacation day tomorrow to see Jimmy, I will stay up.
I have an apartment in New York literally across the street from the Today show set between 5th and 6th. You can see our glass tower every morning in the background when the Today show hosts go outside.
I was in NYC for the Buffett show last June and saw Kenny perform on the plaza from my living room window. It was cool! Only issue was my window does not open and the feed from the TV was 1 second off!
I am looking forward to seeing the show tonight! Thanks!!
Got the new one first thing when it hit shelves. I am really likin' it! I know he is not Jimmy....there can only be one. That said, my heart longs for the islands and I love the groove Kenny has and he isn't hard on the eyes, walking barefoot in the sand and singin' island songs.

Got my cd in the mail yesterday....I can already tell the songs that Chesney wrote and the ones other people wrote...His songs just have a different feeling...."spirit of a storm" is awesome......
