I kinda like our beeping microwave, since I'm usually doing three things at once. I wish I had a beeping gas stove, 'cause I've left a burner on low for hours at a time once or twice.

Did that tonight. Scorched the bottom of the beef stew. Luckily saved the rest without affecting taste.

The Bose clock radio with the "auto dimmer" that is supposed to dim in the dark, gets the eyeglass holder in front of it.

And who can ever keep track of a remote control the size of a credit card?

Virgin Mobile...Prepaids are phones only.....

And Santa, Being Santa you should know the trick that every parent either knows or wishes he knew......All little kids toys that have a speaker in them (For voices or noises or whatever) are WAY too freakin' loud.......BUT you still want/need the noise....So open it up and stuff toilet paper into the cone of the spreaker...dampens the noise significantly and still allows you to use the feature.....

We got a new dryer during the summer.
When it's done, it plays a little tune.
The first couple times it did that, I ran outside looking for the ice cream man.

Now that she has her own home, I'm think about getting her one for Christmas. :P

So I bought a new microwave.. a GE.. not much
fancy.. White, a turntable... it heats..

But it has a "feature" I just hate.
when it finishes the cycle. it beeps..
then if you do not run and open the door it beeps. at 30 seconds.
then every minute until you open the Damb door

so If I am in the shower, getting the mail.. on BN

it beeps    loud..

It is a most annoying feature. The beep just drives me crazy. I find myself saying "shut up, I am coming". Then I realize that I am yelling at my microwave.

anyone else??

But Santa? What do you cook when you're in the shower or getting mail??
in the morning I heat water for oatmeal.. I over heat it a bit.. and it cools
during my shower.. :P
kill two birds, one stone...take the oatmeal into the shower, use that hot water....a la Kramer!!

My stove does the beep-beep-beep thing, then I get a reminder set of beeps after 30-60 seconds....I tell myself, that's why I don't cook on the stove or in the oven much....but that's not really why.

Wonder if the microwave is smart enough to let you program that reminder beep...on or off.

But you're hilarious !

and my microwave beeps until...well I don't know, I have to stop IT BECAUSE IT DRIVES ME CRAZY !!!!!!!

Dryer: buzzes

Car door: dings annoyingly at everything, even when you don't put your seatbelt on

Every damm thing in the friggin' house has a LED light on it ! ALL OVER THE HOUSE  . It's never totally dark in my house. Even the thermostat has a bright green light. I counted it up:

Computer modem: two green and two orange lights
TV's : three green (red when turned OFF)
Phones: two lights
VCR/DVD: two red and three green
DISH network boxes: three lights each (6)

At least you'll never forget and leave food in there overnight.
This brings back memories of my old neighbor in PA who kept hearing a beeping one night - couldn't figure out what it was - got up to make sure it wasn't the smoke dectectors needing a new battery - found out it was the microwave still beeping from the hot dogs she had put in for her kids' dinner, right before going out for the night after having told the babysitter they were in there. The next morning she asked her oldest, who was like 6 at the time, what she and her brother had for dinner. Yup, you guessed it ... NOTHING! :o Needless to say she never used that sitter again and neither did anyone else in the neighborhood.

When defrosting with my microwave, a message comes on the display after so long that says, "Turn Food Over."

I sometimes will ignore it in anticipation that it might later say, "Turn Food Over, You Idiot!"
