CLEAR CREEK COUNTY – Two Colorado ski resorts fired up their lifts for the first time this season on Wednesday morning, becoming the first in the country to open.
Arapahoe Basin and Loveland Ski Area both opened Wednesday at 8:30 a.m., with 18 inches of manmade snow on one run each.
I'll pass, but I know some folks love this stuff.

My office is literally 2 miles from the self proclaimed "Ski Capital of the East" and if you guys keep all the snow this year that will be just FINE with me.

The snow needs to fall at Taos. Those places are too far out of the way (and too damn crowded) for me to ski regularly.

Dare I ask, where is the "Ski Capital of the East"? Killington?

This warm fall weather in MI must be messing up Mother Nature. We have one tree in our front yard, it dropped every leaf yesterday. Only have to rake them up once, though.

We have that here right now with the leaf peepers.
The ski traffic isn't nearly as bad.

This is in the
MOUNTAINS , people!!!
Not in Denver!
Both ski resorts are over 50 miles from the metro area.. Loveland is 10,600 ft. altitude.
Besides.. this IS good for Colorado's economy, & puts people to work.
Just keep Snoopy UP THERE, and not down here.
