Margaritavison?
Just came back from KW this past weekend and, of course, made my yearly pilgrimage to Margaritaville. While eating and taking in my fair portion of Landsharks I noticed they were playing concert footage up on a screen- something I haven't noticed before. I noticed the same thing in Orlando and Panama City. I would like to see what interest there would be in Jimmy branching once again and creating a Margaritavision on Satellite (like MTV or VH1- only with Buffett, Reefer and other TropRock videos). I have been thinking about this for a while and think I have even read a few lines about the like on here before. Maybe, if the phlock gets behind it, we could possibly make it happen. Talked to a lady at the store and she thought it would be a great idea and there would be a lot of material to use. Just a thought and wish- how about all of you?

There are a few videos on the Coconut Television on Margaritaville.com
I know that's not exactly what you were talking about, but it's pretty cool.
There are a few of those tapes they play at the various Margaritaville Restaurant's I'd like to own, but they're never for sale.

Mrs. C-Dawg had an idea after the GW show, where she made the big screen. She asked why couldn't Jimmy sell each concert in a DVD of the footage that makes the big screen. They have the footage and the soundtrack, seems to me it wouldn't take much additional work to burn it to a DVD and sell it off the Margaritaville website. I'm sure there would be a big demand.

Here's the deal.
I don't think there is enough demand to make a 24/7 channel. Maybe a show...but not a whole channel.

Who's to say what's enough? You Tube videos are horrible in quality. Everyone has a different opinion of what they want and like, and no one is WRONG.JustDucky wrote:Right. But isn't there already enough? As opposed to say, I dunno, the music? There are quite a few parking lot videos on youtube. Then again. there are a lot of live albums with the same songs and the DVDs with the same songs.

Well...
A Jimmy Buffett channel? Wouldn't work.
How many times a day could you watch a video of "Margaritaville" or the "Fruitcakes" video?
Those things are cool, but it'd take a few hours of watching and you would have seen everything there was to see.
I love Jimmy Buffett music, but that would be very boring.
Not enough content and just watching Jimmy Buffett videos? Wouldn't get enough viewers.
I don't think a Beatles channel would work. A Beatles show? Sure.
