Palin and the Pope
The Pope is visiting DC, and Sarah Palin takes him out for an afternoon on the Potomac . They're admiring the sights when, all of a sudden, the Pope's hat blows off his head and out into the water.
Secret service guys start to launch a boat, but Palin waves them off, saying "Wait, wait. I'll take care of this. Don't worry."
Palin steps onto the surface of the water and walks out to the Holy Father's little hat, bends over and picks it up, then walks back. She hands the hat to the Pope amid stunned silence.
The next morning, the Washington Post, NY TImes, ABC News, CBS News, NBC News, and CNN carry a story, complete with photos of the event.
The banner headline reads: "Palin Can't Swim!"

While Fox, of course, blames the wind on a vast liberal, anti-religion conspiracy headed by socialists and feminazis...
Palin would be more likely to invite the Pope out hunting Wolf Blitzer by helicopter. Cheney would then probably shoot the Pope by mistake.

Hunting with Sarah Palin and Dick Cheney would be much safer for him than going for a drive with Ted Kennedy.TropicalTroubador wrote:While Fox, of course, blames the wind on a vast liberal, anti-religion conspiracy headed by socialists and feminazis...

Oh, you got me, man. Kennedy's mistake 30 or so years ago trumps any good that any Democrat might ever do from now until the end of time. Especially since I guess nobody died when Foley molested kids or when Sen. Craig tapped his foot in that men's room. To name but two examples that come readily to mind.Wino you know wrote:Hunting with Sarah Palin and Dick Cheney would be much safer for him than going for a drive with Ted Kennedy.TropicalTroubador wrote:While Fox, of course, blames the wind on a vast liberal, anti-religion conspiracy headed by socialists and feminazis...

Then again, there are people in the South who still vote Democratic because Lincoln was President during the Civil War. So I guess it's not unprecedented to hold irrational grudges for many, many long years. I just don't think it's particularly healthy.
And I guess it ain't particularly funny either. Sorry about that.

No, Ted Kennedy's killing of Mary Jo Kopecne in 1969 trumps any good that TED KENNEDY may ever do.TropicalTroubador wrote:Oh, you got me, man. Not that he ever does.
Well, at least he does help small business owners.
(The owners of liquor stores, for example).
I've said it before, and I'll say it again-ANYBODY who would vote for ANY candidate simply because there's a "D" or "R" (or even an "I") after his or her name is nothing but a clueless lemming and should not be ALLOWED to vote. Then again, there are people in the South who still vote Democratic because Lincoln was President during the Civil War. (Although I WILL say I think the "I" candidates & voters are probably on to something).
Hell, don't be sorry. And I guess it ain't particularly funny either. Sorry about that.
I don't think Curly-Joe Biden is particularly funny.
Yet he exists.
(And for that, I'M sorry).
