State By State Beer Challenge

Post by drunkpirate66 »

I live in Massachusetts and I got Sam Adams and Ipswitch Ale (my two local favorites) to pound when I eat me some oystaaahs and chowdaaaaah.

Any state want to challenge?

(and Sam Adams Octoberfest in season right now is tough to beat; thanks again Ravi for providing such wonderful Sam Adams produced nectar at the Great - Great Woods Hurricane Party of 2008!).

this should be easy as sam adams is the worst microbrew in the country  sorry to be the buzz kill on the beer forum, just my opinion. right now we have Big Sky Slow Elk Oatmeal Stout, Bayern Octoberfest, and Kettlehouse Festival of the Dead Pale Ale. all good with any wonderful montana meat product, such as fresh bison burgers, or elk steak.... :D

That tall guy in your sig line has to disagree. I can't argue quantity, but for quality, Thomsa Hokker brewery out of CT does 8 beers, and they do them awesomely

Oberon is done for the year (except in florida)

however if you can get your hands on Bells "Sparkling Ale" which is only available for the holiday season do it!!!! Its made to look like champange but it tastes alot like oberon but not as fruity or "summery".

Its also almost 10% alcohol. 2 bottles are your drunk

Cold front came through so it's time to make chili and in Texas an ice cold Shiner goes real good with a big bowl of chili.

Not to argue semantics but I wouldn't call Sam Adams a micro brew anymore. It is quite a large brew. But that being said I am curious about your statement that Sam Adams is "the worst micro brew in the country". That implies you have had ALL the micro brews in the country. Which, if true, is quite impressive. I actually want your autograph. :D

I'm really not a beer drinker at all but their website is cool. We have lots of local beers in Vermont, but like I said, not a beer drinker.
