John Hiatt for us..

John Hiatt. Although Jimmy's was kind of fun.

Hiatt, hands down. Live or the studio version, they're both better than Jimmy.

Jimmy Please....

I like Buffett's better. Hiatt's is a lil slow for me, like the upbeat version. hula hula!

jimmys version on the Tiki Time Tour in '03 was awesome! the version from '08 wasnt as good and hiatts version to me is similar to that.

Now to answe the original question. I LOVE TIKI BAR!! Jimmy's original version is the best!! the beat is great and it is just a fun song!! I wouldn't change a thing.

Hiatt's version is just a little too slow for me, like 'em both, but Jimmy's wins.

Gotta go with the '03 version, it was the first time I heard the song, at my first Buffett concert.

Hiatt. Buffett turned a perfectly good song into a heavily choreographed show tune, at least judging by the version that appeared on the Mini Matinee DVD.

I like them both equally, but for different reasons.

Jimmy's more upbeat version lets me know it's time to have fun!

Hiatt's slower version has more erotic (?) undertones and puts out a different vibe altogether.

This isn't a good question. Even though they are the same they might as well be performing different songs.
