DH gets AARP junk mail regularly- he's 32. We think maybe they have him confused with his late father, but they're using his middle initial and not his dad's.

Larry, I'm willing to bet the hot blond passed your card along.

My dad couldn't wait to get the card, so he could get discounts on stuff :D
He's obviously more mature than me. :D

I couldn't wait either! And I got my husband spouse benefits since he wasn't 50 yet. They have tons of good discounts. Hotels and stuff for travel.

After her death, we alerted all my mom's contacts, both government, health insurance carriers, subscriptions, etc. that she was deceased. As recently as last week, I got a renewal form for a magazine with PLEASE FORWARD on it. She's been dead 9 years. I don't know the address for where her spirit is now . . .
When my mom died in 1983, we received fundraising letters (addressed to her) from the hospital she was in when she died :o Each time I called and raised a fuss, and the third time, after threatening to sue, I was connected to a hospital VP who explained to me that rather than remove her from the mailing list, they needed to add her back with the code Do Not Mail. Groups buy and exchange mailing lists regularly so removing someone from a list often doesn't work since they then obtain the name from another source. By keeping a name on a list but issuing a Do Not Mail code, mail, at least from that source actually does end.

the hubby and I are AARP members. You get a cool magazine with info for baby boomers and 10% off most hotel reservations.
