May as well have an informal poll on BN!
Who will you be voting for to be the next President of the United States of America?

by Wino you know
The old white haired dude.
(A.K.A.-the Cowboy in the jungle).
and the smart (and gorgeous) woman in a REAL short-but not short enough-skirt

By the by, there are handfuls of pholks on BN discussing the election, but I'm hoping most of the non-vocal might just jump on here to cast their vote. Not that it will mean anything about anything, other than for curiousity sake!

WTF do you mean, woman? It's no secret that BN tends to be right leaning rather than left leaning. Whatever helps you sleep at night, babe.

I don't know yet. I keep hoping some viable 3rd party candidate is going to jump out of the bushes at the last minute.
The one thing I do know is that I won't vote for Lord Barry.
I don't like having to vote for the lesser of two evils because the lesser of two evils is still evil, but at this point, all it looks like I'm going to have to hold my nose and vote for McCain. I really hate voting for the author of McCain-Feingold, but I guess I'm hoping that Palin will temper his liberalism in disguise.
I agree with Glenn Beck: the only difference between Obama and McCain is that Obama is going to take America to Hell in a rocketship and McCain is going to take America to Hell in a Model T.

I don't even know what right leaning or left leaning mean, and I'm only serious!
I really am just curious, and need it spelled out for me in easy to comprehend terms! So sue me, babe!

(I know I could easily google politics for dummies, it just doesn't mean that much to me, ie, how to insult / namecall people for their political beliefs. And / or how to stereotype them.)

Or I could be wrong.
Maybe there should be an "undecided" option 'cause I think there's folks who really are and won't know until they get to the poll. Or maybe a "not voting" option.
Or maybe do an exit poll on Wednesday to see if this poll matches what people actually did.
That's what's the mostest interesting.

I can't vote for Brian Moore?
(I'm not a socialist, but I loved his remarks about Obama and McCain when he was interviewed the other night....)

Obviously you understand enough to compare Obama's change with Cuban communism, but if you want us to think you're a politics for dummies gal, then more power to ya.

I thought about it, but knowing the sarcastic tendencies of many of us, I figured he'd win in a landslide!
I thought about 'undecided' or 'not voting' too, but chose to only include the 6 on the ballot, and if there are people undecided or not voting, they just won't pick anyone!

Something along the lines that McCain's plans more closely resembled socialism than Obama's.

Yep. He said that Obama is definately NOT a socialist.
He said that, as a Socialist, he would NOT vote for Obama.
He said that McCain is much closer to the Socialist Party's ideals that Obama is.

Until Palin was announced as VP, it was the first time I considered voting as a Republican.

Think what you want, but I know I don't know nuttin bout nuttin! I attempted to watch Obama's infomercial last night, but my kids kept waking me up to tell me I was snoring too loud. People like me are probably the target audience for the loudest propoganda.
I didn't compare anything, I merely copied and pasted an email. To reiterate:

Something about this year scares me, and keeps causing me to take notice. I'm copying and pasting an email I received today, that is enough to enforce my decision on who I'll vote for.

A self proclaimed no-nothing-about-politics person deciding who to vote for based on a disproved urban legend chain email.
Oh my.

At least we agree on something.

I vote Republican, and Mcain is the best they came up with, so he gets my vote by default.
