I have a t-shirt that says "I used to be a millionaire, then my mother threw out my baseball cards."Tiki Bar wrote:I loved that cardboard, even though the yummy flavor only lasted as long as it took for it not to be cardboard anymore. I actually remember getting baseball cards trick or treating... used them in the spokes I'm sure!Wino you know wrote:Not to mention the 5-packs of Topps baseball cards with that GOD-AWFUL little piece of cardboard that the manufacurer tried to pass off as bubble gum.
I got it sometime when I was in my early 30's. I still have it, but it no longer fits me.
It somehow shrunk dramatically over the years.

I can remember dropping that bubble gum and it would shatter into a hundred pieces. Clark Bars are still sold.Wino you know wrote:Yes, definately.UAHparrothead wrote:I bought some candy today for the kiddies and I noticed the "Fun Size" candy bars are smaller than they used to be. They are more expensive and you get less candy. I guess it goes along with the times. No more 1/2 gallon ice cream, etc. Has anyone else noticed this?
Not only that, but some of the old classic candy bars have disappeared altogether. (Clark, 5th Avenue, Powerhouse, Zagnuts, Zero, et. al.).

If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
Life is short, live long!!
I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.

I guess we never had any of those bars in Canada! Love the names, though. Were they good??aeroparrot wrote:Clark Bars are still sold.Wino you know wrote:Yes, definately.UAHparrothead wrote:I bought some candy today for the kiddies and I noticed the "Fun Size" candy bars are smaller than they used to be.
