Sadly, Jimmy misread the invitation. He thought he was promoting change, but instead ended up playing a concert in support of Chang.

Oddly enough, I don't base my vote on what a celebrity tells me to do.

If they want to talk about their choice at a political rally, go for it.

Otherwise, shut up and entertain me for the ticket price that I paid.

I would hope NO ONE votes for anyone or anything based on the opinions of someone else. And since yesterday's show was free I kinda expected more of hell, fire and brimstone.... but was surprised. It was really more a push for getting everyone you know to VOTE tomorrow.

Love Buffett's music but, sorry, I need a better reason to vote for somebody than because a singer I like is voting for them.

I agree and that's why I boycott Toby Keith concerts.

Haven't been since 2002. Does he ramble on about Bush or just about America...bit of a difference. Or are you harking back to the Dixie Chicks thing?

So you people don't listen to anybody else? Where then do you find your information? How do you form an opinion? Well you are flat out lying if you claim to not base your opinion on what someone else has said. Yes Jimmy is a musician, he also is a very successful businessman, father, husband, world traveler, writer, motivator of people etc. It's a matter of who you choose to listen to, are you going to value George W's opinion or Arnold S., Jesse Ventura, Ronald Reagan. You see many entertainers have become politicians. These people pay attention and get involved and help change our world, we joke about Jimmy being president but heck why not? An actor ( I know, a stretch) was president ( I know another stretch for some) for 8 years. Nobody wants an Washington insider but then you say others can't have a valuable opinion. I for one would like to see more entertainers involved. The folk movement has always been a very powerful, from the people movement, music moves you, it can change you and it has changed the world. You may not agree with Jimmy and his political views but I do ask that you respect them and cast your vote based on a culmination of what you have heard from others and take each of there opinions and then form your own.

Wow, after that scolding I am defnintely voting for Chang!

PS Don't forget about Capt Tony's political stint. Buffett supported him too- good taste in politicians IMHO! [smilie=battingeyes.gif]

You seem to be confusing information with opinion.
