Personally, I blame the Karl Rove wannabees who seemed to be writing the script for the Republicans during the election cycle. They have truly poisoned the well of public discourse. And shame on McCain/Palin for buying into it.
There is a difference between disagreeing with someone's policies and stirring up potential violence against them by using incendiary language.
This is shameful.
AND it starts..

Yup. I've got a friend whom I play hockey with who works in DC with a law enforcement agency. He's got a friend who works for the FBI who said they are investigating 2-3 credible threats a week.Frank4 wrote:I think he is going to be the most well-protected president in history. It makes me sad that we still have racial and religious intolerance. I'm not surprised, I'm just sad people can't get past that.

It is really sad that some people can't let go of that. It's even more sad when you get these goofs like we had in Idaho teaching it to their children.Hockey Mon wrote:Yup. The inauguration is going to be locked down pretty tight I'd imagine.

I thank the Lord for the people I have found

Mmmmmmmmmm......I think there is an element of anti-Dem/pro-conservatism......but lets be realistic.....Eastern Idaho is not exactly a pillar of diversity.ragtopW wrote:Uh.. it is Eastern Idaho.. A great deal of the negative comments I've heard in my conservative corner of the world (which, compared to Rexburg, is pretty liberal) have been race based....it's been most disappointed and disheartening.

...which really drives me crazy because if those folks are religious, aren't we all equal in the eyes of God?pbans wrote:Mmmmmmmmmm......I think there is an element of anti-Dem/pro-conservatism......but lets be realistic.....Eastern Idaho is not exactly a pillar of diversity.ragtopW wrote:Uh.. it is Eastern Idaho.. Sorry to get religious on everyone; I'm sooo not trying to be preachy or anything. That is totally not my style. But, I just find it all hypocritical and that gets me even more mad. Ahhhh!!!!
Of course, we are all preachin' to the quire so to speak on this issue.
