Hopefully this is not the "start" of anything, just a bunch of kids behaving like fools.

GOOD GOSH ! Those kids and parents need a lesson....I don't know what kind of lesson, but they need one. Maybe in being a human being. I'd like to slap every one, third graders included. Ok, maybe not the third graders, but their parents.

ok maybe slapping wouldn't do the job, violence begetting violence is not cool.

Where do kids learn this? Parents? Rant Radio? Television? Somebody needs to be monitoring their activities much closer.

unless it's on Siris or XM most of the programing is
local.. Farm stuff.. the local talk stuff..

they can't get Boise.. and probably not Salt Lake..

maybe one or two stations.. from either place..

Why did the bus driver not put a stop to it?

Every one of those kids should have to write some kind of an essay about this incidenct. Something about the office of the president, etc. Or maybe the Secret Service should come to school and scare the CRAP outta them....

Or ALL of their parents should be REQUIRED to attend an assembly, talking about what they teach their children about assassination.....

I like the last paragraph. I think if this did come from the parents I think both kids and parents should be asked to attend a sensitivity program of somesort.

A lot of this stuff is learned in the family. Not even from the parents, but grandparents, aunts, uncles...kids are like sponges, they absorb everything. My 13 year old daughter made an ignorant comment similar to this last week, she even said her grandfather (my father in law) told her. He told my wife and I he's never going to change or be accepting and that we were trying to be politically correct now that Obama was elected. My wife told him he could not talk that way in front of our kids or us. He left our house....has not been back since.

I ramble, but my point is they learn stuff like this and they soak it up without even thinking about what they are saying.

This will not be the last incident either. I have a feeling lots more on the horizon. Sad

If my daughter EVER participated in something like that (which I can say with a high degree of confidence she wouldn't) I can't imagine how I would react....first, it would break my heart.....second, she would be living a miserable existence.

Seriously though....the things I've heard around here the last few days, it doesn't surprise me. Rexburg is like Utah on steroids......I think it's more conservative/LDS dominated that most of Utah.

Other than the fact that kids were chanting it on a school bus, is this really surprising?

I voted for Obama, but I've been afraid for him for awhile. There are too many ignorant, racist people out there. I just hope the Secret Service can protect him.

Seriously, they oughtta do to the parents what McCain wanted to do about those who abused porkbarrel spending earmarks:

"I will take their names... you'll know who they are... and I will make them famous!"

..and then give both parents and kids a nice weekend tour of the county jail...the place where they throw idiots into for making threats against the government!

I think he is going to be the most well-protected president in history. He keeps challenging Secret Service by appearing in front of these huge crowds and they keep him well protected.

Isn't that the sad truth. Rexburg through Shelley are much more conservative than the most conservative spot in Utah, even Orderville or Circleville!
