Radio Margaritaville now on XM Satellite Radio

The merger between SIRIUS Satellite Radio and XM is good news for those who listen to Radio Margaritaville. XM Radio has begun broadcasting Radio Margaritaville on XM channel 55. Radio Margaritaville will continue to be available on SIRIUS 31.

At 2:30a ET Wednesday, Sirius and XM pushed channel updates. Radio Margaritaville is now on SIR 31 / XM 55! The online player at XM was in maintenance mode, but car and portable receivers should be updated. I don't know about DirectTV, since they stream XM, but I bet it has also received the updates. Some of the channel names and the track names may not match what you are hearing. I suppose more updates are coming to fix issues like that.

I can now die a happy man. I've been kinda thinkin about switching from XM to Sirius just to get Magaritaville. To my surprize thid mornibg when I noticed the channel line up has changed. I started surfing thinking maybe.....maybe...... Then bang! There it was channel 55. I can now listen to Margaritaville on my boat, although here in IA its now in the garage for the winter. I already told the wife to turn the heat up in the garage to 80 and get out the bikini. We are gonna sit on the boat drinking Landshark and chill. She just asked if I was smoking somthing funny and was I finnaly going off the deep end. One question though. Is there a request line? I haven't heard bertie higgins in years.

I see my DirecTV menu has several "new audio service coming soon"
listings. Any idea if RM will be one of those? (PLEASE!?!!)

Several other XM listings have been changed, replaced and moved.

Direct TV changes, I don't see RM on the list...but it does say additional music channels will be available soon.
