Welcome to BuffettNews!!

My daughter and I went to the "Chicago" show last night, and it was a pleasure, as always! :D :D Simply amazing musicianship on all accounts!

My reaction from the thread in the News Forum:

"We have a new lighting company with us that has done some astounding stage work," Mayer said. "It's a really cool setup, a frame around the stage, with lights positioned on that frame. Of course, on the stage, we have various sundry items, from Christmas trees to ornaments to phonograph players."

Each year, Mayer also adds a new song or two. "Gloria" will start out folk style, then take a jazz turn before it segues into Mark O'Connor's Eastern-flavored "Nomad." In a lighter moment, the band will brandish toy and junk instruments -- and incorporate a phonograph -- for "Junk Man's Christmas."

Junk Man's Christmas, and the story behind it, is super cool!! :D :D And the new stage framework and lighting are very nicely done! Before the show, I overheard the man in front of us tell someone it was his and his wife's first time seeing Stars and Promises... they looked to really enjoy it from start to finish, but I always enjoy seeing the initial reactions to Little Drummer Boy, and Go Tell it on the Mountain! :D :D

Heartwarming night out for my oldest and me!

It has been really nice the last two years. My daughter and I are disappointed that we won't be attending it this year.
