Favorite Christmas movie

We were debating this at work....I gotta go with National Lampoons Christmas Vacation.....I laugh my a** off evertime I watch it.

I know what my favorite isn't. Saw "A Christmas Story" once, and that was enough for me.

I fine it hard to believe there's a better movie out there than this one. Hands down my favorite!!!

I have tons of favorites, but my absolute favorite is "It's a Wonderful Life".

Very life affirming and a great movie. I watch it when all is quiet on Christmas Eve and I am the only creature stirring while the wife and kids are in bed.

Behind that I like:

Scrooged - also underrated

The Bells of St. Mary's

Miracle on 34th Street - the original of course

The wife LOVES White Christmas and Holiday Inn

I'm amused by National Lampoon Christmas, but can't remotely call it my favorite. A Christmas Story is the same thing...good parts, but not the whole movie.

And, I'm looking for a copy of "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever". I remember this as a kid. I think Loretta Swit was in it and these "poor" kids wanted to be in the Christmas pageant and their unadorned innocence and portrayal of that night made it "The BEst Christmas Pageant Ever".

Now, as far as non-movies:

1) The Year Without a Santa Claus (Heat Miser/Snow Miser)
2) Santa Claus is Coming to Town (Burger Meister, Meister Burger)
3) Grinch Who Stole Christmas
4) Rudolph (Nobody wants to play with a Charlie in the Box)
5) Emmett Otter's Jug Band Christmas (River Bottom Nightmare Band)
6) Charlie Brown Christmas
7) The Night Before Christmas (with the mouse that doesn't believe in Santa)
8 Little Drummer Boy
9) South Park's Spirit of Christmas (the viral video that spawned the show)
10) Christmas in South Park

I love Scrooged, White Christmas, Christmas Vacation.......

I remember a Walton's Christmas special that I loved as a kid.....

Any of the animated Christmas specials.....Rudolph is probably my favorite, but I love all of them.

Little Drummer Boy always made me cry.....when the lambie got run over by the chariot.....GEEZ.....

The part where the Elf (Will F) gets into a fistfight with Santa (The Great Artie Lange) in front of all the kids is one of the funniest scenes I have ever seen.

OMG I haven't seen that one in AGES......I used to love that one, though!

My classic favorite as a child. Always have to watch it while putting up the Christmas tree to kick off the season!

2.
Funniest Christmas movie ever! The Tuba "Rudolph" solo when he's emptying the sh*tter gets me everytime!

3.
Just can't do without this one. They almost feel like family now.

4.
I still remember going to see this in the theatre with my Cub Scout patrol. We all wore fanny packs and had them full of candy bars. Haha!

5.
When the stress of the holidays gets to much at school and work, nothing beats a little hot cider and Goldschlager and a good trashy Christmas movie. I'll never eat Japanese food in the mall food court without laughing again.

6.
Can't have a Christmas without hearing Linus tell the true meaning of Christmas. Classic!

7.
I have a special appreciation of this one as an public elementary school music teacher. This one hits close to home.

8.
Best Christmas movie released in the last few years. Leave it up to Will Ferrell to make a great one!
