I work for the Facilities Department in a beautiful 7 story building. 2 floors are "Call Center' folks. Generally young (early 20's), and I shake my head a lot every day at their attitudes and the way they dress while in an office building.

Security and Janitorial fall under our group.

Luckily we don't actually have to DO the cleaning, but.. what the hell is wrong with people?? :o
Security wrote:
Employee stopped by the front desk. She informed Security that the
first stall had diarrhea all over the place. Security called Janitorial to
please look into. Security officer inspected the first stall as well. There was
excrement on top of the toilet near the flusher. It looks like someone
had to stand on top of the toilet to do what they did. Janitorial said the
3rd floor ladies room, second to last stall was the same way this
morning when she went to clean it. In fact this has been going on for
the last three weekends. She also said the 2nd floor ladies room would
end up the same way occasionally.
Security wrote:Security spoke with Janitorial regarding the 1st floor ladies room. According
to her and the cleaning schedule posted on the door, she cleaned the
ladies room at 8:45 am. The second to last stall had diarrhea on top of
the toilet. At 1035 am she went back in again to clean the ladies room,
all was fine. At 11:53 am it was reported there was the same issue but
in the first stall.

Last Saturday on 11/29 she had to clean the same mess in second stall
around 9:30 am, her first cleaning. She then went in again around lunch
time and there was the same issue but in the last stall.

2nd floor ladies room:
Non-related issue- This morning at 9:38 am, Janitorial went to clean the
ladies room and noticed someone vomited in the last stall.

Last Saturday on 11/29 when she did her first cleaning of the ladies
room there was the same diarrhea in the same place, on top of the toilet
by the flusher, in the second stall.

3rd floor ladies room:

She went to clean the ladies room at 8:55am (her first cleaning) when
she noticed the same issue in the second to last stall.

Non-related issue- Last Saturday on 11/29 someone got sick on the floor
and in the last toilet.

All in all, the janitors are quite busy. In narrowing this down, it
appears the person works in the morning.

I thought our building was bad with people that don't flush, throw the tp on the floor (like how can you miss the toilet & if you do pick your own poop tissue up) and water around the lavatory EVERYWHERE!!! It's like there was a water fight in there.

There is something mentally wrong with this individual or they have been through some tortuous childhood. I knew a young man who did this in public showers on a regular basis. Turns out he came from a very unstable home who's parents were heroin addicts and inflicted abuse on him during his childhood.

I work for Facilities at a large hospital, and stories like this are sadly.....not new. I feel bad for the Janitorial crew. Most are immigrants, the lowest paid, and have the worst job in the Hospital.

People are pigs

This happened where I used to work. The person was actually standing up on the toilet seat while going. He was from another culture and for some reason felt that that was the way to use a toilet.

People who clean bathrooms for a living have my utmost respect and thanks....

Talk about awful jobs, my hubby had a summer job in college where they picked up porta potties from events and cleaned them prior to their next useage. [smilie=shock.gif] (Think high powered hose from a distance)

He said it was pretty awful....but paid better than any other summer job he had :P

when I was in college I knew someone who shared a private bath dorm room with someone that did the same thing. His roomie was from another culture also.

They should make rules that everybody has to go to the bathroom in pairs. The first person to rat out the offender gets $100. Problem solved.

This one place I worked, we used to have a guy that would flood the guys bathroom on a weekly basis. We called him the "Phantom Pooper".

I have never sat on a public toilet. It's a phobia of mine. I have many amusing stories of leaving work early and wild drives to get home. I'm ok with hotel rooms but public toilets are a problem. Yeah, I got issues...

:o weekly basis ? :o Sounds like he needs to eat prunes. Or as they are now called, dried prunes. :x Makes me glad I'm regular and normal and work at home.

"Dried prunes" is redundant. Prunes are dried plums.

I was, believe it or not, just thinking along similar lines this morning. I may complain about my job...but then I think about what our janitor has to do, and how little he likely gets paid to do it, and I realize that I don't have it so bad, even if I *am* a wage slave in a cube farm, thousands of miles from Key West...

Of course it's people like this, and someone who has a good sense of humor that makes working in my department not all horror stories.

(All of the printers in our building are named on the network after channels that DIRECTV carries)

All,

The Fox Reality Printer on the second floor is acting up again…I’m not saying its drugs again…I’m just saying. I have watched that show Intervention on A&E enough to be able to recognize the signs. There has been a drastic increase in “yellow snow” hate signs recently…and oddly enough this printer is out of YELLOW Toner…coincidence…I think not!

Thanks,
Scott
