Help me plan my Florida Citrus Bowl trip

Post by msu#1 »

Looking for some places that would be cool to visit in Florida on the 30th and 31st. We will head to Orlando on the 1st for the bowl game and then stay there until we go home around the 5th.

I'm looking for a place that will have something close to do on New Years Eve, a nice beach, and has lodging that isnt 200 a night and up. Dont have much time to plan, pretty rushed, so please help.

Went to Orlando, cocoa beach and Daytona on the trip last year. Would kinda like to change things up and see some new places this time.

Yes, that is what I was kinda asking about. Been to clearwater beach a few years back, anyone know of a good cheap place or state park for camping? Wanna try to avoid the Iowa fans in town for the Outback bowl

Usually in the top ten beaches in the nation...great campground, excellent beaches.

There will be a few BN'ers at the Malyn, which is only about 15 minutes from Ft Desoto, this same weekend and a couple staying in the Rocky Point area of Tampa. We'll be just hanging out and if you are in the area are welcome to come on by.
