RIP Adam Walsh

Post by bravedave »

Authorities announcing that the case is closed: serial killer Ottis Toole did it, and made a deathbed confession in prison more than a decade ago.

Rest in peace, little Adam.

I remember seeing the movie about Adam when I was a little kid. That story always stuck with me. I believe I heard a recent interview with John Walsh where they discussed the possibility of it being this guy and John seemed to think it was. I hope they find some closure with this. Lots of good has come as a result of this tragedy. Keep on sailin' Adam.

Finally.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Life is short, live long!!

One of my aunts told me that loosing a chld was the worst thing she's ever had to face. I can't imagine what the Walsh family has gone through all these years. Hopefully they will be a little more at peace now.
Well...(said in my best Bubba voice) I've been on sabbatical.

Even after all these years gone by, it was amazingly touching listening to the press conference. :( As John said, "today was a good day".

Same here. I was pretty close to Adam's age, and my parents made sure to tell me about this case so I would learn from it. It really drove home the importance of sticking close to them when we were out in public and the dangers of talking to strangers.

I hope his family now finally has some closure.

I always figured it was Ottis.....truly one of the most frightening people I've ever heard speak....

The world is a better place without the likes of him sharing our planet.

I believe Adam was in peace and I suspect that the Walsh's knew all along Toole did it, but it's good that there is that final confirmation.

Agreed. The pain was still palpable on the family's faces...even the children that were born later.
I can't imagine ever learning to live with a loss like that. :(
