Margaritaville Resort and Casino in Atlantic city

Does anyone have an update on the conversion from Trump Marina Casino in Atlantic City to Margaritaville Resort and Casino? The last I heard they were keeping the casino open while renovations began in Feb.

Looks like the company who is going to run the casino now has to get a full casino license from the state of New Jersey.

With the current economic meltdown even casinos are suffering......with financing for such projects even harder to secure.

Wonder if the Margaritaville acquisition will still make it???????

I did hear from a bar tender at Trump yesterday. He said that the casino is staying open and renovations were to start in Feb. Maybe the deal is still going through. I go down a couple of times a month so I guess we'll know in Feb

Just thought I'd bring this thread forward and see if there is any new news.

I read that there will be tropical themed suites and Jimmy has added butler service. The tv channels will also be upgraded to premium.

Hooters bar/restaurant will also be staying since they were already there and under contract before.

I know this isn't much news but it is what I've found out so far.

Just realized that we can also look forward to Radio Margaritaville broadcasting live from the new cafe!!

Can't wait for summer and the opening of this awesome resort!!

The Hooters could easily be converted to a SHA-Boobies once the contract is up.

Yes, PLEASE keep us informed of anything you find out. It is only five months from the opening and inquisitive parrots (especially ones that need to make reservations) want to know these things!!

JUST NOW heard from a source at the hotel that they were informed recently that the name change should take place some time in March. They want all renovations complete for summer but they are not sure if everything can be totally completed by then. The souce wouldn't elaborate on what may or maynot be done, I doubt if they know for sure. Theyare taking it day by day.

As I hear more I'll post them here.

Just got a letter from Coastal Marina. they are planning "substantial investments and improvements in the Farly State Marina:. Some boats will have to leave their slips during construction, but they said major construction on the docks may not come until the end of boating season. At least we know the sale is on. Welcome to Margaritaville!!!
