Here you can discuss any other artist including Sunny Jim, Todd Snider, Jerry Jeff Walker, Steve Goodman, James Taylor, Alan Jackson, Bob Marley, Kenny Chesney and others
Some friends of ours just got us tickets to see "Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles" with them in March.
I'm a long-time Beatles fan having literally grown up on their music (which, I think, sounds just as good today as it did in the 60s & 70s). I have always shied away from any and all of the numerous "Beatles imitators" out there over these many years. Has any BNer seen or heard about this group? Any comments would be appreciated. I still have time to make up an excuse and get out of this.......
While we're talking about the Beatles, any comments above the "Love" album? Again, as a "purist" I haven't purchased this release either, but have had friends say it is a nice change of pace and well done.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.....

We saw "Rain: The Beatles Experience" (as it was called then) just over a year ago and it was amazing!! They started with their appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show and each set was based on different eras; they did 3 or 4 sets plus encore(s) and even included a Lennon song or two ("Imagine" was one). The guys in the group do a great job; from costumes and music to mannerisms and speaking voices ... it's amazing how well they play the roles. Near the end, everyone in the place was on their feet singing along and having a great time.
You've got to remember, these guys have been touring with this show over twice as long as The Beatles were in existence, so they're pretty darn good at what they're doing.
Check them out at http://www.raintribute.com/index.php. They used to have clips of a bunch of the music, but you might have to register to get to those now (not sure). Do yourself a favor (in my opinion) and don't find an excuse not to go ... go, you'll love it.
And speaking of "LOVE", it's definitely not a "purist" approach, but the mixes are pretty cool. If you get a chance, go see the show in Vegas; it's amazing too.
'Cause I want to be there, I want to go back down and lie beside the sea there ...

Hey CW,
Thanks so much for sharing your first-hand experience. I'll check out the link and maybe reconsider finding an "excuse"........
Might have to pick up the "Love" album, too.....
